Let’s start with that 3 stars is not directed at the food. The food is delicious!! The handmade tortillas and the meat are some of my favorite “fast food” versions of Latin food.The 3 stars is strictly for this particular store.I came in and was taking a few photos and videos to review and the ladies were being very rude. Short and unkind in their tones to the teenage girl I had brought along with me. (Who was EXTREMELY polite) as I came to place my order I stopped taking photos as I felt maybe they were annoyed by that and was trying to give benefit of the doubt.Still very rude and short. There were dropped dressing cups in the condiments/salsa •left• in there untouched. The lady serving me dropped a dressing cup and just chucked it very sloppily at the trash can behind her and it landed on the floor with a few other cups that had missed the trash can.The drink station was dirty and low stocked The floor was peppered with varying amounts of trash. (Ie straws, straw wrappers, pieces of napkins) I should’ve zoomed in better to the floor.We were there for 45 minutesExtremely slow- not one time did any team member come out to sweep the floor, check the drink station, or wipe down a table.Not very clean and not great service.Food delicious!! I hope to have a better experience next time.

Fajitas and all salad ingredients were so fresh and delicious!Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free and enjoy the tostada. I also am dairy free and it’s easy to get items without cheese.
Incredibly terrible service. Placed an order online, received an order confirmation email, confirmed correct location, can see the charge on my credit card. Staff won't make my order because it's not showing in their system. No effort made to figure out the issue. Disgraceful.

Great food, but this location has forgotten to add the salad dressing nearly every time we order online- the last two times included. You have to pay extra for it with certain entrees, so it's frustrating to get home and realize it wasn't added. For those who know, the dressing is the best part of the meal! Must check your online order thoroughly at pickup

Friendly enough workers terrible food all old scraps not much fresh, cold burritos, no hot sauce around like years ago and you gotta pick through utensils and straws with your hands disgusting never again.

The food is generally pretty good, but we did have a pretty bad experience where they left the chicken out of my salad and I had ordered extra. We will probably order from them again, but that wasn't a very good experience.
Cafe Rio Always has the highest Quality ingredients, I’ve never left hungry. An amazing place for over 20 years.

I used to eat at the Layton, UT, Cafe Rio often ever since they opened in the early 2000s. Life got busy and I didn't visit the restaurant for a time. A few months ago I was craving a sweet pork salad and bought one. Something was off about it, specifically the tortilla. I figured that the tortilla maker had an off day, and I didn't think much more about it. After a couple of months, I returned and ordered another sweet pork salad. Once again the tortilla was awful. I don't know if the recipes have changed or what, but I really have no desire to go back, which is sad because there was a time I loved Cafe Rio.
