Stopped in on a whim after looking at Christmas lights and walking main street. Two parents with 24 and 18 year old kids. Was expecting average or a bit better. It was fantastic. The server, Alice, was on point and efficient without being a bother. Water was refilled at every turn. The mixed drink was delightfully strong and the foot was spectacular. We had the lamb shank, wagyu Sirloins and the hand cut pastrami sandwich with truffle fries.. Everyone was delighted. They also served some delicious bread and butter. We were also served an amuse bouche on the house and we pineapple sorbet as a palate freshener. !! The food is not inexpensive but the quality was evident and we had a wonderful experience. The deserts were good but not as spectacular as the entrees. It's the best when you spontaneously decide to do something and it surprises you how great it is.

Wonderful fresh delicious friendly affordable and best service! Must try the crab dip, home made fries, and fresh oysters, plus bread pudding and hand made ice creams to finish. Each dish displays consistent gourmet talent and care to taste and detail. Totally amazed every time we visit! You will return!

What a bad experience! I was showing downtown Frederick to my friend who was visiting. After we ate lunch, we dropped by Raw Bar to get some raw oysters. We ordered two each of all three different kinds they offered to start out. Half of the oysters had barely nothing in it. See attached. I showed the waiter and he said “They are oysters.” Then he stared at me with intimidating look. He was very rude and showed no effort to make us happy. I asked if there’s anything he can do about it, and he turned back to the kitchen and brought the replacement in silence. No apology whatsoever. We thanked him and left. What a disappointment. We were wondering how he would’ve treated us if we were not two asian females. We also noticed that he was waring a face shield without a mask, which is proven to be not as effective, and how it complies the safety guidelines.

Went to Firestone's Raw Bar in Frederick on 18 July. This is the third time I have been there and the first since COVID. All three times the variety of oysters has been exceptional. I went yesterday with some good friends as a form of farewell and the 3 dozen oysters we had were awesome, especially the Prince Edward Island oysters. They were much smaller than the James River and other oyster species but had awesome flavor and brine. Having 3 dozen oysters will set you back by about $100 but sometimes you have to splurge. Overall fantastic eats, service was prompt and courteous and a memorable time with my favorite Frederick Familia.

Went to Firestone's Raw Bar yesterday with some friends as kind of a farewell as I leave Frederick Maryland. This was my third time there (twice before COVID) and each time the oysters have been phenomenal. We had 3 dozen oysters (each dozen a different variety) and enjoyed each variety. The oyster prep is done very well with very little grit and each oyster is released from the shell. Pricey but you do get good quality and flavorful oysters.

They have a menu they share with partner next door. I went Happy Hour for buck a shuck oysters. They were plump, tasty, perfectly shucked and served. So many great appetizers and sandwiches you could go tapas. 4 great beer selections draught. I loved the double IPA, sampled a sweet dessert beer. Tried the wagyu and beet creation with a quail egg and tasty dressing. Took home their famous pastrami sandwich with potato salad for my wife. Thanks Courtney and team, forgive me for not asking your names. See you again soon.

Food and atmosphere were wonderful. Got the chefs tower, every thing was delicious. Gave it 4 stars because the service a bit dicey. We had to ask for our drinks, napkins, and silverware. The menu said that the chefs tower came with 21 oysters, they brought us 18 and when we noticed they brought us the last 3. Would definitely come back.

I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I like how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the place clean at all times. Pricing is reasonable and they serve big portions.
