Hands down, the best sours in Frederick! Love the atmosphere, bartenders are attentive and the beers are amazing!

Transplant from New England here. So far it's the only brewery that can be mentioned in the same discussion with Vermont, new Hampshire, or maine.

Impossible to come here if it’s just you and your dog. There’s no way to order unless you go in, but dogs aren’t allowed inside? At least have a QR code or online ordering for the patio. Would have loved a beer today but I guess not here

Good place to hangout with friends/family and pets.... they have lake side sitting..... multiple beer options-all good....they also have food truck in front and next door which is great. Definitely worth visiting if you in downtown.

Really nice brewery, it looks very new. I love the brick inside. Lots of space to sit and they always have wings, pizza and sandwiches you can order.

Given the current selection of breweries in Frederick, Idiom is good. Is the beer perfect? Nah. But certainly better than all other options in town. I feel like Idiom is becoming a victim of it's own success, or perhaps I am the victim of their success. With the addition of the kitchen, there are no dogs allowed..not a fan of that. As well as, it gets so busy even during non-peak hours now that there is a line of 5+ people with every trip to the tiny bar. At times this line for beer is ridiculous, but again..there arent great alternative places to go. Anyway..just my thoughts. *moreover, the staff there right now do not seem happy. Not sure if that's because of what I've mentioned, management, other...only they know.*i mean, you can set the record straight, but that doesnt change my thoughts above. Anyway I gave you 4 stars. Do you want 5? If I were waiting in line for Mylar Rings or equivalent, then I might be ok with that. Look at the success of Prospect. At theyre busiest, they dont have the lines that develop at Idiom and they only have like 8 taps. Cushwa also doesnt have lines. Again, just my thoughts. Also, yes, obviously we can bring dogs outside...anywhere.. Lastly, is the staff upset that they work day jobs? I do that as well.. If you arent open to customer feedback I dont see that ending well for you. It's all good man. We go there. We like it. Just feedback.

Looking for a fun evening out, with drinks that are worth the price and customer service that is above board? Then Idiom Brewery Co. is not the place for you.Lights turned on at 8:00 PM on Sunday evening and a less than customer service minded waitress walked up to our table and pulled the drinks from our hands. She said it was 8:00 and their liquor license ended at 8:00 PM. We mentioned we paid $12.00+ drink and would appreciate the opportunity to finish the $$ drinks we purchased. She (waitress in the tie dyed t-shirt) told us to shot gun the drinks or she was taking them.Color me jaded but money is hard to come by these days and to be told that I have to “shot gun” my drink at the same exact time the venue closes, I’ll take my business down the river in Frederick to an establishment that values my business and my money. Your business lacks customer service and the knowledge of how to inspire people to want to come return and spend money at your establishment.

Visited to the brewery tonite and had our drinks pulled out of our hands at 8:01. Customer service? Lacking and a complete joke. You pay for your drinks at 7:40 PM and reasonably expect to be able finish the drinks you’ve paid for before an angry tie-died wearing waitress pulls the drinks literally from your hands while you’re trying to finish it. I’ll choose to give my money to an establishment who values their customers and the hard earned money that doesn’t come so easy nowadays. Shame on y’all.

As a local to Frederick, Idiom is one of my few go-to places. The beer is great and so are the staff.
