One of the things that we often seek out is Mexican food. It has to do with a long-time family tradition (many years ago, there were two approved restaurants for dinner)! La Paz was the choice last night! 1. The main meals were excellent - the food was perfectly prepared. 2. THe salsa (my bar for South American cuisine is the Salsa) was good! 3. Flan - perfect. Need I say more? All the food was as I said prepared wonderfully. The only complaint I would have is they were a bit heavy on the syrup for the Flan. Other than that it was a perfect meal. Added to our places we are going back to again!!!!

4Mar.2024 The service was fast and attentive. My food came out hot and it was good. I ordered the Mexican flag. The guacamole and sour cream was fresh and the chicken and rice were cooked just fine. Their version of salsa and chips are very different. The tomatoes were chunks and some onions and chiles with a spicy kick.We ate al fresco and everything was nice. You can’t keep the homeless people away begging for food while you eat. It was still pretty decent.

Thank you to the all the staff at La Paz for making my mom’s surprise bday party so special. I was hesitant to come here after seeing mixed reviews about the food recently. Emma & Griffin at the front desk gave us the BEST advice on what to order from the menu. Bubbles took such good care of us upstairs, with a lovely window view. The upstairs has a ton of room for larger parties or gatherings. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate with friends & family.

I have been frequenting la Paz since 2010, this most recent visit did it for me. I have never been so disappointed. We ordered almost $60.00 worth of food. I ordered a taco salad which was okay (that is usually what I get). My husband and father ordered the same burrito, except one had shrimp. There was an uncharge for the shrimp which was fine, but the burrito was the size of a soft shell taco. We also ordered a la Paz salad that has more cheese than anything else, there was literally enough cheese on top to make a pizza. This was a to go order and we asked that the burritos be placed in two different bags because they were going to two places. They said okay and then when we got there we had to go through the whole order to separate them. Then when my husband checked the order in the car, we had been given someone else's food. It was just a very frustrating situation and made me feel like I never want to eat at La Paz again.

Ok, so the food's not the most authentic Mexican. Why is it always so crowded? Because people love the servers, the ambiance, the sense of community there. Oh, and the margaritas. And a great location. Our grandsons LOVE it here. It's a tradition we've established. Kelly is often our server. She looks at each child for them to order themselves instead of asking us, " What do they want?" They feel respected. No matter who our server is, we've always had good , attentive, and friendly service. Yes, sometimes it's a tad slow when they are slammed. Just sip your margarita, look around, and maybe reach out to the people at the next table. It'll be a whole different, and uplifting, experience.

Waiter shushed our 3 year olds to "use indoor voices" when nobody else was in the restaurant HAHA. There's a reason they have little to no buss. Not real Mexican food. Salsa is smushed tomatoes. After the second time she told my kids to shut up we left. Didn't even touch our drinks and definitely didn't order any food, still charged us but oh well. Btw Kelly let kids be kids.

The salsa and chips are the best. Love the chili. My wife raves about the fajitas. Prices are reasonable too.

La Paz is in a great location along Carroll Creek which is one of its main draws. The wait staff is great. Sadly, I feel La Paz has lost a bit of its zest. The food is a bit bland and unappealing to the eye. It's become fast food quality.

Wanted to try something different, all that we got was: bad service, over priced drinks and the food tasted like it was old and microwaved. Not worth the $78 that we spent to eat there2022 Update:Went there for lunch and unfortunately, no improvement.

The service was great but the menu didn't accurately describe what I ordered. I ordered a quesadilla and got a half a pound of ground beef with barely any cheese, I had to look to find the cheese. I would not consider that a quesadilla.

Something major has changed. We’ve been loyal La Paz patrons for over 40 years, even after moving an hour away. Our past several experiences have not been good. The food went from amazing to sub-par. What happened? Don’t see us returning anytime soon. So disappointed.
