I really wanted to like this place. This was the second visit in about 5 months. They were out of many things. I ordered the Lemongrass noodle dish with shrimp because they were out of pork. The dish was missing chopped lettuce , cucumber, bean sprouts, mint, crushed peanuts, fried onions, and Lemongrass. Not much left besides the shrimp and noodles. Nice waiter but had no idea how to respond. Beware.

Hi, usually I don’t post poor reviews, but in this case my hope is they take note and help fix their process. I think it came down to a new owner who was out of their depth and covering on an under staffed night. The Uber pick up orders caused massive delays to those at tables. I’ll spare most of the details, except to say they should confirm that what is on their menu is actually available to drink and eat. They should make sure their staff is trained and shadowing a lead server until they are up to speed. Here’s the summary. We should have known it was gonna be a bad night when the server asked us to write down our own orders on a piece of paper and bring it up to the counter. When I got there she asked me to pay upfront and then charged me for someones else’s meal. Then when I pointed it out she did not know how to refund or reimburse the charge. Ended up paying me in cash. What should have been a 60 minute dinner took over two hours as food came to the table randomly and my wife’s meal had been lost. They also brought us another tables order. And the owner kept giving my wife tall pours of wine, which would have been great, except she was starving and was getting plastered and not enjoying it. Finally we went there because it was my 9yr olds birthday who was craving Pho. We laugh about it then and we laugh about it today. I’m sure they just had a bad night. But be warned.

Regrettably, our experience at this establishment, which we humorously deemed "UnLucky," fell short of our expectations. Having initially intended to dine at Pho An Koi, we were unaware of their Monday closure and decided to explore this alternative Vietnamese restaurant instead, considering it had a slightly lower rating compared to our original choice. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by a friendly waiter, and it is important to note that any shortcomings in our experience are in no way a reflection of his service; he was attentive and pleasant throughout. For starters, we opted for the Summer Rolls, which were reasonably enjoyable, save for one minor oversight – the Hoisin sauce, while delicious, had an unexpected dollop of Sriracha (or a similar spicy condiment) placed beside the peanuts. Generally, one would expect such accompaniments to be served on the side, allowing patrons to control the level of spice according to their preference. Nevertheless, this was only a minor blemish on an otherwise satisfactory appetizer. The real disappointment came with our choice of the Chicken Chili Lemongrass – a dish described on the menu as their "most popular chicken delicacy, sautéed with chopped lemongrass, Julienne carrots, onions, and chili." Unfortunately, it did not live up to its promising description. The excessive amount of oil in the dish made it far from authentic and even led to the discomfort of having to frequently clear our throats. Regrettably, we were unable to finish it and decided against taking it home. This alone solidified our less-than-stellar impression of the place and prompted our humorously coined term "UnLucky." We recognize that perhaps the choice of day, being a Monday, might have influenced the quality of the dishes we received, and we certainly hope that this was an anomaly and not a true reflection of their usual culinary standards. In comparison to Pho An Koi, this restaurant significantly lagged behind in terms of food quality. Were it not for the waiter's excellent service, we might have rated it even lower than we eventually settled upon. We must emphasize that our review solely pertains to the food itself, and we do not intend to discredit the efforts of the courteous waiter who attended to us. To provide a fair evaluation, we found the Grilled Chicken Vermicelli at Pho An Koi to be unequivocally superior. This direct comparison highlights the substantial disparity in the culinary prowess between the two establishments. All things considered, based on our unsatisfactory experience, we have decided that a return visit is not in the cards for us. This meal ranks among the most disappointing we have encountered in recent memory.

Showed up late and little man greeted us at the door. Even though we were late the service was still spectacular. Pho perfect ? just what I needed. Nice playlist, big screen tv with talk-able entertainment, all the other customers were clearly regulars. I will be back for more chicken on a stick and pineapple fried rice! Thank you!

This has been my go-to for Pho. Today, we ordered the shrimp tempura and fried oysters. They have revamped the batter on both. Incredible crunch, yet perfectly cooked, tender insides. I may not have room for my Pho and I don't regret one mouthwatering bite. Best fried oysters in Frederick to date. Pho just arrived at the table...gotta go!

got vegetarian hot pot a yellow rice and vegetables with tofu in a garlic sauce. smelled nice. quick service. very expensive ~16$ for average portion. size/taste not worth it rice was very sweet and unbalanced strong allspice flavor while vegetables didn't have any flavor and strange mix of veg. tofu was awful. sauce was very oily and not a hint of garlic tasted like watery oil and cornstarch. dissatisfied and disappointed :(

I had takeout from here for the first time today. All the food we ordered was great. The pork belly came in a nice sauce. The chicken pho was tasty. And the pad Thai had the classic tangy dressing. One unexpected surprise was the online ordering system uses toast. It didn't allow for tipping. So that saves me some money.

We were staying overnight in Frederick on the way to Norfolk, VA, and decided to have some Pho...a craving that day. This restaurant knows how to prepare Pho. The broth was excellent and noodles very good. We had beef Pho, small bowls, and side order of Spring Rolls, which were very good. The Pho was served with bean sprouts, basil leaves, sliced hot green pepper, and lime slices on the side. All were fresh. They also provided a tray of different sauces for the Pho, the traditional ones and some "heat" as well. The small bowl was filling for us. If we were ever there again, we'd stop again. The restaurant has nice tables and interior is pleasant. Asian cooking show on wall TV to watch while you wait. We didn't have to wait long for the pho or the side dish. Our recommendation for weekend, like Saturday, is to go early before crowds. We went at 5p and easily got parking and seats. It's starts to fill in around 6p and parking can fill up as well.

Coming from somewhere that has unlimited supplies of Vietnamese food and Pho, I am extremely pleased with what I experienced today and highly recommend it to anybody else that likes good food ? I ordered the shrimp pho with extra jalapenos and grape leaf beef. Delicious ☺️
