I have loved the Wegman's chain of grocery stores since first discovering them when we lived in Northwestern Pennsylvania. I was thrilled to find one in Frederick, Maryland when we moved here. However, after the Covid-19 pandemic started, the quality of products and service have been steadily going down hill. One example is that I recently purchased Wegman's store brand Hummus three separate times at the Frederick Wegman's (both individual serving sizes and large tubs) only to discover after taking them home that the plastic seal on the product was not intact. Because I can't take the package apart in the store to verify the seal without risking being accused to damaging the product myself, I have had to throw the product away. I am very disappointed in this change in Wegman's. It looks like I'm going to have to find a new grocery store.

Wegmans hot bar is now $15.99 per pound. Thank goodness rice is separate for $1.99 for 12 oz. They have lost their minds because this ok Chinese food. I got 3 small chicken wings, 1/2 c of black pepper beef and 2/3 cup of broccoli with mushrooms (best part of meal) for $11. Way more expensive than Whike Foods but we don’t have one. Cheaper to go to Wingstop or a Chinese restaurant and get better food.

Showed up at 7pm on a Friday night, no Asian food at all, only a few wings, a bit of crusty Mac and cheese. Nothing ready at all.

We came here because of the good rating/reviews on Yelp. But the food is mediocre to say the best and service is horrible. The disparity between the good Yelp reviews and the quality of the merchandise/service rendered is both startling and scary.

I would have entered 0 star if this app lets me. We walked into this store at 4:55. The people behind the counter watched us enter, chat leisurely and when we were ready to order at 5:01 they told us they took off their meat slicer that slices meat for sandwiches before 5 pm and as a result 2 out of 3 sandwiches we want can not be ordered. They donot show they want to try even a little or care one bit about potential customers. Not sure why they are in the service business at all. So I read more reviews where people complained about their food and service on yelp. I am not the only one feeling this way! Now I start to wonder who are posting the 5 star reviews. Are they real customers?

Great selection of Italian delights, speciality sandwiches, and beverages for lunch. Picked up a few items to make for dinner along with my lunch sandwich, the French, and it was delicious. The staff is also cheery and helpful!
One of the best paninis I've ever had outside of Italy. I highly recommend the Italian panini along with the pistachio gelato (super rich and creamy).

Best fish counter of any grocery store in the area. Very well organized, super clean, and very enticing displays. There is always a large whole fish, spectacular lobster tails, oysters or pikes of sea scallops, etc. couldn’t resist loading up on king salmon on the latest trip; it was delicious, pan fried with butter and rosemary. Staff is always very well informed about their products and helpful about cooking ideas.
