This is my 3rd time being here. Food is good. But today changed my view of this place. Food was good. Server was nice. She handed me the check. I opened it up and load and behold I found a baby roach just sitting on my receipt... thats pretty gross. I squished it with the receipt circled it.

The food is excellent, the staff was professional. My only reason why I give this place three stars is the fact I saw a roach crawl out of one of the wall art. I can only imagine where they are hiding. Please proceed with caution when eating here. This place needs a thorough cleaning.

Not impressed with the quality of food. Had read good reviews so ordered a platter, getting a mixture of things, none of which came out of the kitchen to my liking. I was there for lunch. My partner agreed he wouldn't want to return either

The food and drinks were amazing!! Tamales were the best I've had. Burrito and chimichanga were cooked perfectly. The food has so much flavor. The waiter was very polite and gave us great service. It's a shame this place will be closing in Oct as it is the best Mexican in Frederick. Really hope they can find a new location quickly.

Before 2020 this restaurant was great and was a 5-star restaurant, now it's no good. It's like someone else had brought this restaurant and used their name. Will not be going back. Also, want add service was not good.

It is my assumption that most people who have left good reviews are not familiar with authentic Mexican food. I was served bland beans (which Mexican beans are usually super tasty) and bland, hard yellow rice. I was very dissatisfied and would not recommend. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food this place will disappoint... however, they did put effort into the presentation of the food and the enchiladas were tasty.

Traveled from Georgia to see my boyfriend. After walking through downtown, we visited Tournament City Games and had a bite to eat at Mexicali Cantina. The staff was so nice! They brought out a dish of ice water for our puppy and when we asked for a side of shredded chicken, they gave us a whole plateful. ? She had an amazing day and so did we. The enchiladas and chimichangas were so good ?

We were there on Saturday around 4:00pm sitting outside and had just finished our food. I was served a drink and the server asked if we were ready for the check. Can you wait until I can finish my drink? We might have ordered more things but felt rushed and ended up going somewhere else. Not sure if the server was getting ready to get off his shift and wanted to cash out before he left or not, if this was the case he should have told me.

I liked the 5 de Mayo Celebration with the dj playing latin music and very kindly family oriented. It is a good atmosphere for everyone.

Good food, but service was not. Very empty when we went (3 tables w people) but 5 wait staff floating around. Took very long time to get drinks, food, and their attention when we needed something. Food was not warm when it came. May have just been an off night?
