The bistec enchilada I got to take home was terrible, absolutely a waste of $21. I had croquets de jamon that tasted like frozen Goya croquets and ceviche, which was over priced. Only good thing was the waiter was good, friendly and attentive.

Ordered takeout. An item was accidentally left out. I called them back and not only did they make it right, they added a dessert at no charge. When I came back to pick it up, they were very kind and apologetic. Food is consistently amazing and perfectly seasoned/flavored.

Place was nice! The food was hit/miss/mid. The staff is incredible and our server was just a doll! The drinks were impeccable (if you like them strong). Overall, it was a good experience.

Wife and I were looking for Ropa Vieja and did find it here at Sabor de Cuba. The food is quite good from a flavor standpoint but as you can see from the photos the presentation is very drab. Brown food abounds, not a shred of color. This meal could use more visual differentiation to increase overall appeal. The cocktails were great. No complaints there.Service was good, wait staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was maybe a little spare but not unappealing.Overall, food quality and dining experience were fine, but not overly memorable. Solid, could be elevated with some tweaks to the menu.

I really like this restaurant, I really do. There's just something about each dish that doesn't entice me to come back to the restaurant the way other rerestaurants do.

Delicious cubano sandwich. The chicken soup and lentil soup were flavorful and filling. Service was attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend

I love this place!! One of my favorite restaurants in Frederick. I get the vaca frita almost every time and it never disappoints. The meat is so flavorful, and somehow even the white rice on its own is particularly delicious. We got takeout here often during the lockdown, and still do when we want a night in, plus we have now dined in several times as well. I just took my date friend there the other day for lunch, it's the best place around. We split an order of vaca frita, a croquetas app, and a bread pudding.Every time I'm there the waiters check in a few too many times during the meal, interrupting conversations to check if everything is good when we are eating happily and engrossed in talking. Since it's happened with different servers on different days, I imagine the management or training strongly encourages them to ask a certain number of times, and I hope they see this review and change that! Stop hounding your waitstaff to be so available it circles around to intrusive. If the restaurant is mostly empty, I feel very confident I will be able to grab a server's attention if I need something. That said, the waiters are very kind and the service is always fast, friendly, and helpful. I always tip well and enjoy my time there. Highly highly recommend.

Had a great first visit. The cuban and roast pork sandwiches were great. Yucca and beans were fresh. Sauces were great even though there was a 1.50 charge for them. Overall, very good...little on the pricey side- $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 sides and sodas, But you're in downtown and and we loved it. Lost 1 star for no straws offered for our water and sodas which I'm fine with, but know it's a thing for some. Will be back one day!

Had a delicious While visiting family in Frederick this weekend we stopped in and had a delicious lunch that I can't stop thinking about now that I am home several hundred miles away. I am not the world's biggest Cuban cuisine expert, but I do know that as far as the experiences I have had on the East Coast, what I had at Sabor De Cuba was the most flavorful. There was not a bland morsel to be had in any of the dishes I ordered, nor of the ones I tasted at the table. Even the most simple things were great; like the plantains, something so many places don't seem to get correct. The server was a delight, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is chill enough to hang out with friends, and would be nice for a date night as well.I look forward to coming back the next time I visit Fredrick. Until then, I'll be trying to recreate the ham croquettes and garlic mojo

Food was genuine, just like Mama used to make (right down to the slightly burnt flavor of the chicken and rice). Definitely

Drinks and food were amazing. Got the sizzling shrimp and cuban coffee martini. As a cuban this place is as authentic as it gets, also try the flan de coco to be blown
