This once friendly, efficient, good value restaurant has made a mistake by hiring an unfriendly, sullen waitress who can’t be bothered to greet you in any language or to muster up the slightest courtesy. She just walks up to you and stares until you tell her what you want. When she brings the food she all but drops it on the table and never asks if you want anything else. I had one unpleasant dining experience with her but decided to go back weeks later hoping it was just a fluke. When I was waiting up front, she just looked at me and stared with a blank expression. I left and won’t return.

Simply the best enchiladas I've ever had. Their ground beef is the bomb, the pulled chicken is great, and the cheese melts all over the place and makes everything better. The chimichanga is the best around. Love the wait staff, and the atmosphere is nice.

Stopped in for dinner while in town on business. Chips and salsa were average. I tried the ground beef nachos and the tacos al pastor. Nachos were good, but the tacos were incredible. Decor is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant. Service was solid.

Excellent! Authentic tasty pupusas. Fast friendly service. My daughter likes the fish tacos. My son enjoyed the ground beef burrito with homemade seasoned beef. Really a great spot. My wife loves the fried plantains, cooked just right.

I found Santa Rosa on Google while searching for restaurants close to Warehouse Theatres, and last night my husband and I had dinner there. Their long and diverse menu was impressive and I had trouble deciding what to choose even though I'm gluten intolerant. My husband ordered the salmon fillet ("with a special homemade garlic and cilantro sauce on top, served with rice, charra [pinto] beans and steamed vegetables") and said everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the combinacion guanaca (beef with two eggs, Salvadoran cheese, fried plantain, avocado, rice, refried beans [which at my request were replaced with charra beans], and fresh corn tortillas). Every single component was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The prices were extremely reasonable and portions were generous but not overwhelming (we both cleaned out our plates). William's service was prompt and courteous, and he got us out in time to make the movie. We've been to numerous Mexican restaurants in Frederick and Santa Rosa is by far our favorite. We intend to return soon and try many other dishes on their menu!Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten intolerant and there were several possibilities on the menu. Too many, almost, made choosing hard!

This was our second time at Santa Rosa. The first time we stopped in for a drink. This time we ate.We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, fast service and the food was delicious!I had the Mexican style chicken tacos (tacos de pollo) and my husband had the grilled steak burrito. We also had a side of chips and salsa. The salsa had a bit of a kick (spicy) to it and it had some density to it. Not runny like most salsas. The tacos de pollo are probably the best I've had in a long time. The corn tortilla shells had a little bit of moisture to them, so they didn't crumble and fall apart. The chicken wasn't dried out. I love the simple onion and cilantro. My husband really enjoyed the grilled steak burrito.

We thoroughly enjoy Santa Rosa's every time we go. We consistently bring home portions for later, too. The service is efficient and does not hover so we enjoy our food immensely.I don't write many reviews, but highly recommend Santa Rosa's

This was a hidden gem! If you are anything like me I love those places. It didn't look much from the outside but the inside is so cozy and adorable. The food was amazing! I have never had Salvadorian food like this and it was top notch.

Excellent authentic food. After multiple visits, it just gets better. It's a shame that most of the patrons are of mostly Hispanic background. Anyone who enjoys good food will love this place.

Food quality was bad, I ordered steak and it was soggy and looked pale. I'm pretty sure they just heated it after it had been seating out for a long time.

We used Santa Rosa for catering for our party and it was perfect. The food was amazing, ready on time and they were a pleasure to work with. No photos as we ate it all haha. They even packaged it all individually so our guests could make their own tacos with toppings.
