I get very picky with Korean food because I know what authentic Korean food tastes like. Having said that, Sogongdong@Frederick is equal if not better than many Korean restaurants in Korea serving tofu soup. In fact any dish Sogongdong House serves (eg bibimbab or japchae) tastes authentic- so you can choose with confidence.Pricing is really competitive, since I don't have to go back Korea to taste home food hehe. At this price it is a no-brainer for quality food. So when I get tired of the local food with simple x-y axis of sweet and salty as the only dimensions of flavor, I come here to do a palate indulgence and remind myself of the depth of flavor I am capable of appreciating. Seafood tofu soup is amazing. If I don't pay attention I end up sipping the soup and cross my eyes to stare into the abyss of warmth that my soul envelops around. Service is great- you can walk over to the stall and ask for a bit more kimchi and they will gladly top it up. Ambience is very casual as it is a food court, great for in-promptu family dinner and the kids are hugely entertained by a korean stationery store and robo-picker games. It also helps that there is sushi, fried chicken and dumplings from other stalls as well, making this place a one-stop world-cuisine.

I ordered Soondubu Jigae last weekend for dinner at home. I had many different Soondubu from several Korean restaurants in VA and I would say this is the worst one ever. Comparing to Vitgoeul's Soondubu in Centerville, VA, I will never order anything from this place. They just don't know how to make Soondubu. I was very disappointed.

Had my fav bimbimbap veggie version to go. Tasty with side of soup and kimchee. Soup had beef but you figure it would. Ok value. Not sure it there was much or any sesame oil. Weird setup to order and pay where you do it at a separate cashier. Fairly fast service. Took to go for road trip. Ok value.

Dropped in to eat lunch with the family. One of the restaurants in the food court at H Mart. Have to order at a central location for all of the food court restaurants. The ordering line gets long but it is quick. Ordered the pork bulgoki, regular bulgoki and grilled mackerel. Each plate comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, and two ban chan. Pork bulgoki was spicy and tasty.

If you are coming to this HMart for the food court...don't. It is very different from the HMart in Fairfax, VA. We were so excited to spot another Sodonggong tofu house but were very disappointed with the seafood tofu stew. If the main item of a restaurant is tofu stew, the default is seafood tofu stew and you expect it to be the highlight menu item. However, the flavor of the stew was too fishy and smelled like old thawed seafood. The pho place next door was mediocre at best but has more potential then Sodonggong tofu.

I love tofu food so much. I especially love the soft tofu food. So, no matter which state I go to, the food I always eat without exception is the soft tofu food. Especially when I go to Maryland, I definitely go here. It's clean and all the staff are friendly, so it's a comforting place for me when I'm tired from work.

The food at the HMart court is amazing and one of the hidden gems in this area. I've tried dishes from each menu, and I want to try them all! It was refreshing to get such great quality food and takeout!

I always have a wonderful time shopping at H-Mart; you can find any and everything from vegetables, hard-to-find items and cookware. I could easily spend an hour in the store just looking around. I recently tried the food court and, like the store, I was not disappointed. There are several food stalls featuring dishes from several Asian cuisines. I decided on a dish and placed my order. NOTE: You place your order at one, centralized place and then pick up you food at one of the individual stalls. I waited in the dining area and picked up my order when my number was called. I decided on katsudon and it perfect. I highly recommend visiting H-Mart if you have the opportunity. I will definitely stop by again in the near future!

I wanted to make sure this got a five star rating. The fruit selection is amazing. They have fresh made kimchee. The bakery items are delightful. There is a food court also. Please please bring a location to NWA (NW Arkansas), you know, home of Wal-Mart, Tysons, JB Hunt and the #1 exporter of rice in the world.

Stopped in here for some ramen take out and here's my experience and review Ramen was pretty good. Comes with a chicken, beef and pork soup base only which was actually better than expected. The dumplings were fantastic in my opinion I would definitely recommend getting those. The spring rolls were good too and better than expected.
