They are never ready on time when the buffet starts. One time they were even vacuuming. Food is cold and heating up. The tables aren’t level. Their water was accidentally mixed with soda water. Their bathrooms are dirty… these are all controllable

I ordered a lamb curry and a cup of ginger ale for delivery. There are two things I'm not happy about them. 1. They did not provide any silverware. 2. They just gave me a cup of carbonated water not ginger ale. They did not check about the color of soda. Usually, the color of gonger ale is a light shade of yellow but what I got is transparent colorless liquid. I do not like their service.

Excellent food!!!! Really enjoyed the samosa chaat and the paneer tikka masala. Can't wait to be back to try more of the menu!!!
This restaurant is a MUST go in Frederick. All the herby flavors, great looking food in beautiful trays, and so super delicious everything, including desserts, has made the Taj Mahal one of our favorite places. It’s self serve but no one is hovering over you. Add to that a clean setting with soothing music and staff that helps the customers with kindness and a smile. I highly recommend it!

We went for the lunch buffet. It was tasty and well worth the $18 price. It's not the best Indian I've had, but I wouldn't expect that from a buffet.
We drove quite a distance to come here based on the reviews, and ended up being disappointed. The food was dry and lukewarm, and they did not honor the drink price on their website. The menu posted states drinks are included with the buffet. When asked about it, the waiter stated that was an outdated menu and gave no apologies for misrepresenting their prices. Will not be back. There are much better Indian buffets in Germantown.
Very tasty. You can get different levels of spicy authentic Indian food. The waiters are very courteous. Portions are generous and prices are good. Nice music and atmosphere. Definitely reccomend this restaurant!
01/01/2022. The Goat Biryani is definitely worth a try. Juicy and flavorful, this has become my weekly treat. Really hoping its stays the same. Tip: This is not mild heat.Update01/01/2023: so many changes.Update 06/01/2023: buffet has a lot variety and many wonderful flavours to try.Update 01/10/2024. The chicken 65 was on point. And the goat biryani has become a bit tough. In an ever changing world, recipe and service consistency is highly recommended.

Ordered Lamb and Chicken biryani from here, probably one of the worst biryani I ever ate in DC area. The rice was undercooked and couldn’t taste anything but fried onions in the biryani.

Overall experience is very Bad. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for Indian Food. Went there based on overall google review but google review is not saying the actual story.Went there on 25Dec23. Ordered Chicken Soup, Taste was very very bad, Looks like Chicken curry was served with added water. Soup was too much oily, i have never drink such type of soup in INDIA.Fish Pakora was ok, looks not fresh. old food served after microwave heating.Taste of Chicken Momo was good, Not cooked properly, Outer edges was hard little bit.
