This is a second location for Chopin. They have a location in Catonsville as well. Both places offer great food and good value. The popcorn chicken is crispy and juicy. The noodles are hand pulled. The peanut sauce in the cold noodle is a bit light on the flavor. The service was great and they play piano as well from time to time. Overall I'd come back again.

Uniquely good, authentic, incredibly tasty Chinese noodle bowls. Run by a nice couple, both of whom play the piano in the background. Very high quality ingredients, hand-made noodle texture is perfect.

I ordered the food from UberEat. It was a buy one get one free beef noodle. The night after I ate the soup I got violently ill. Stomach cram, throwing up, diarrhea all the symptoms of food poisoning. Please be careful ordering food from this place.

This little shop is great! ! What an unexpected surprise when I came to DC~ The ramen was delicious, and there was also a kind and kind-hearted store clerk who played the piano and was very nice to let us order songs! Very good experience!

I love this restaurant. They have a self order kiosk that I love as an introvert. You can't go wrong with the beef noodle soup. You can specify what kind noodles you want. I like getting their wide noodles. The Laing Pi is divine! It is my go to order. The peanuty spicy sauce with the baby soft cold noodles and cucumbers is SO addictive. The service is always fast and easy parking lot parking right in front of the shop! Plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your noodles.

Amazing pianist. Yes, this is a noodle place. But, I felt the need to compliment the pianist/ waitress (?) That works here. Didn't expect to have such a wonderful music being played in this cute little hole in the wall restaurant. All he noodle soups we ordered were great. Again, strangely awesome experience. Great place, to come again.

I really like the noodles from Chopin Noodles as they provide authentic hand pull Lanzhou noodles. The spice is the best part, very well made, just as the store advertised. I am originally from a place crazily like spices. Its spice used good quality raw materials not feel like adding additives to bring the flavors. The starter beef is a good choice too. Definitely recommend! Myself will visit regularly!

We drove 45 minutes to eat here because we wanted hand pulled noodles. We arrived around 7:30, maybe close to closing time. Unfortunately the noodles were not what we were expecting. We got the A1, A2, and the tomato soup base. The A2 traditional noodles is basically the same as the A1 noodles except for they put their hot chili oil in it, at least from what I can tell. The A1 soup is a light clear type of soup and the meat is most similar to the thin slices of beef you get in Vietnamese pho noodle. The meat was sliced very lean with a tiniit of tendon.I thought both the soup as well as the meat were okay. My daughter loved the soup though, whereas I personally prefer a bit heavier more beef based broth. As a result I enjoyed the tomato soup more and I like the meat a bit better as well. The meat was a little bit more like your beef stew but I felt the beef was slightly overcooked. So for both the A1 and the A2 noodle I would give it three stars and the beef tomato soup closer to a 3.8.Unfortunately I would have given both closer to a four or more stars if the noodles were good. So I don't know if the noodles were just old or if maybe the noodles aren't really handmade. I sort of doubt that because you have so many different with some noodle.I purposely ordered the wide noodle because usually that gives you the most chew or qq/al dente when it comes to hand pulled noodles. So maybe the noodles were just old. Or maybe that's just how they are at this restaurant, I have no idea.Unfortunately the noodles were all pretty mushy. So they're okay for noodles, but not at all what I expected for hand pulled noodles.I did really enjoy the mutton appetizer that sold for around $24 though. That was pretty different and it reminded me of the spices used by Xinjiang cuisine in China typically used in lamb dishes/lamb kebabs. The lamb was pretty soft and was just fatty enough for me. I think maybe it was boiled.I also enjoyed the "kimchi" so much that I ended up ordering it separately to go for home.So there you go, a detailed review of the food we had at this restaurant. I don't know what was up with the noodles and I don't know if they were supposed to be mushy instead of nice and chewy. As an overall result I don't think we'll return, especially since we had to drive almost an hour to eat there.I really do hope that we got some old noodles, because hand pulled noodles are not supposed to be mushy. I mean unless if other people don't know what have pulled noodles are supposed to be like, and as a result has given their noodles a great reviews. On the other hand if we did get old noodles, then that's kind of lame because if you don't give your customer quality then they won't return.I'll break my hand if you guys want a good example of what hand pulled noodles are supposed to taste like, I recommend Lotus Garden in Vienna/Fairfax. Their bowl of noodles cost about the same but the noodles are actually excellent. Plus you get such a huge portion a tremendous value. Plus Fairfax is only 20 minutes away from where I live instead of close to an hour.

Food was good Service is OK. I will definitely go back there again. Seems like a place is better for takeout.

One of my favorite noodle places to come even though it’s only been open for less than a year. They do truly serve authentic lanzhou hand-pulled noodles which you can actually see be freshly made and is then served in their clean and flavor-packed soup. Their soup is very light but comforting and has just the right amount of saltiness. The staff are pretty friendly and the noodles come in large quantities which makes it more worth it for the price.I’ve tried some of their other menu options but the traditional noodles remain my favorite. I think that the oil spill noodles are worth a try as well but they are more filling. The noodles come steaming hot and the best part is that the service is really quick with your order to the table within 10 minutes especially when they are not busy. The only part that isn’t as authentic is their chili oil which is fragrant but isn’t very spicy.

I came here and wasn't very impressed. My friend had the stirfried dry noodle, which really lacked in any good flavor at all. I had the triple oil spill noodle which was a little bit better, but the highlight was only the tomato and egg topping. My wife had the traditional beef noodle, which she said was good, but i thought was kinda bland. But perhaps that is where the appeal was. Service was friendly, but I ordered at the kiosk and had to get my own water. So what was the point of leaving a tip. None. I will probably steer people towards Jibei or A&J if they want good noodles.
