I have not ordered many things from here but the food was always decent however my main reason was for ordering was the spicy pork and chive dumplings which they no longer have. In my mind they were the star of the show. The dumplings were in very thin dough, not the thick, doughy ones like so many others from other places. Recently, they do not seem to offer these anymore. I don't know if they just sell out quickly or if they stopped making them.. I have not ordered from them recently because the dumplings are what I've always gone for and I hope they come back I will keep checking.

$96 dollars for mostly noodles which I paid extra for!!! I filled up the whole bowl with mostly meat & seafood & some vegetables!! This is outrageous!!! Be ware of having your food steal right in front of your eyes!!!

Decided to get some hot pot here while grocery shopping. We got the enoki mushroom soup and it was phenomenal! The soup itself was a little salty but so much flavor! Would definitely order again!

We ordered a take out and this was what we got for $34. It is ridiculous.

DO NOT GET FOOD FROM THIS PLACE.We ordered the Mala Spicy Wok, paid $35 for it and this is what we got. Half of the food is lo mein even when we paid nearly 30 dollar for other ingredients. As someone who used to own a restaurant, the cost to make this plate of food is lower than $5 and they charge you $35 for it. Nice job ripping off your customer!

First time visitor at this restaurant. One of the food court options in 99 Market. We had the Shrimp Lovers Malatang, Mala Spicy Wok with chicken, and the pork and cabbage steamed mandu. Overall the dishes were good and those that were supposed to be spicy were quite spicy. Decent size portions with each order. Prices are certainly rising due to inflation. Ordered and picked up within 15 minutes so they had super fast service.

First time I ordered mala dry hot pot through UberEats. It was just perfect, albeit a bit oily and not spicy enough. Regardless satisfied my mala craving! Second time tonight, I ordered takeout in person. OMG! So beyond good! First customer service was awesome. She knew exactly what I wanted when I said extra EXTRA spicy and less oily . Generous portions and satisfying spice makes me happy and full. I'll be ordering direct again!

Double check your receipt of credit card. The charge doesn't match the order receipt. Please be aware!!!!!

Food: excellent flavors, great spice level pending request. Their soups are packed with meat and veggies. At $11-14 a bowl of soup will fill me up and satisfy my numbing peppercorn craving. My fav is the malang tang, made extra spicy. So good! The dry pots have a wide range of meats and fresh ingredients. One annoying thing is that I am not sure how they calculate the cost. Other places usually specify the price per pound of veggies per pound vs meat and seafood. Here, they mix everything up, and a 2 lbs of mixed ingredients which after cooking will fit in one regular take out container, regardless of them being veggies or meat come out to be $25-30, which is on the expensive side. Rice and noodles are extra but that is common for dry pot places. Ambience: located in the ranch 99 "food court", there was little ambience to start with . With covid they literally placed a plastic cover over the whole front of the counter leaving a slit for payment... yeah. Not a place to take your date!!! Service: fast, reliable service. Well packed to-go containers. They separate the broth from the noodles to prevent them getting all bloated, which is awesome. To me it shows they care about their product.

Got the meat lover malatang and it was solid! It wasn't as spicy as I expected so I probably could've gone a level up from medium. Meatballs had a weird texture but other ingredients in the bowl tasted great. This place is located in the Ranch 99 food court. There are tables located next to the deli if you want to eat there.

This food was inedible! My husband and I had to throw away all three meals we ordered because it tasted disgusting. Please save yourself the money and the time and do not get this food.

We haven’t been to the store due to covid but they never disappoint us with their food.Tired from work and don’t wanna cook? You love asian food? Try Laoma spicy. First, i love Beef malatang “normal” is better than mild spicy, my wife likes the medium but too spicy for me. Sweet and sour fish is always a must try combination with their spicy beef malatang. Honey walnut shrimp- exterior is crunchy and shrimp is tasteful. Just the right amount of sweetness from the tanginess of pineapple. Triple fresh delight is a combination of beef, chicken and shrimp- i like how they cook the chicken but i dont like how slightly red the beef looks like(food color or maybe from the sauce) shrimp consistently taste good according to my wife. shrimp rice noodle- its dry but taste good, tho, since my wife cook really good with rice noodles, i was not impressed. ? Overall, if you want reliable asian cuisine- mostly taiwanese, its good to try if you live in the area of Gaithersburg-Germantown!

I was really looking forward to this..but was so disappointed. I got the spicy pork ribs box. The rice was old, dry and clumped together into a ball. pork was 80% cartilage and only 20% edible meat. Flavor is there but quality not so much.

Yummm their walnut shrimp was amazing! I also ordered the wonton soup, but I wasn't a fan and the wontons had completely fallen apart. I would still recommend overall - I'll be coming back for more shrimp! Their take out was packaged well and everything was hot, too.
