Update it’s closed down08/2023My favorite pho place in all of Montgomery and Frederick county. My favorite is the chicken pho, have been going here for over 10 years and I love it. The staff is respectful not like overly friendly but I like my pho place to be relaxed . Overall I have never had a bad experience here. I always get pho here when I'm sick and it always always hits the spot.I moved to Frederick and drive all the way here for pho.

The prices on their official website are incorrect, I had to pay for the take out containers. Our b15 pho had 4 slivers of beef, not worth it.2 small pho and 2 drinks was $40.

Pho was really good, one of my favorite in the area, extremely fast service and welcoming

The restaurant was empty and it took 5 min to be noticed when we sat down. The lady working evening of jan 7 2023 was extremely rude. She seemed like she hated her job. After we got our food, she sat down a few tables down and started coughing really loud. And then it sounded like she started hacking up her lungs so loud. We lost our appetites immediately. By far the most disgusting thing I've ever experienced in a food service setting. We should have walked out without paying as we didn't even finish our food. My husband was a fan of this place growing up and was excited to show me. But it's just gone down really bad. Never again.

Their food is good I had a carry out order, then saved the portion that I did not finish to heat up the next day. When I opened up the container - the lid partially broke into pieces. I wasn't sure if any sharp pieces went into the soup, so I had to throw it away. The next day I took the container up to notify them of their unsafe container and ordered more. I expected a thank you for letting them know and a small discount on my new order. Received nothing and will never return! They obviously have no concern for their customers safety!!! My new Pho spot will be: Vietnamese Restaurant - nearby in the Kentlands

I love pho - love it!!! I look forward to cold weather so I can eat some pho and warm my body and my soul. So tonight I was really looking forward to a nice big bowl of pho at this new place we found. Unfortunately, it did not turn out so well and I cannot recommend this restaurant. The pho was ok, maybe better than some. The broth was almost rich and it was tasty after I added some of the condiments on the table. There was certainly a healthy amount of beef in the bowl - but it did not have the flavor of pho beef that I have grown used to. However, the real reason I rate this restaurant as only 3 stars is because of the service and the cleanliness. The woman who waited on us was abrupt and - while not rude - she certainly was not pleasant. When she handed us our water glasses, her fingers were on the rim right where my lips would be in a minute. Her fingers were not that clean so I never drank my water, needless to say. To use the bathroom, you had to go through the restaurant's storage area. It was messy and dirty. Open containers of supplies, utensils and dishes (not food) were all over the place. Standing at the cash register to pay my bill, I noticed that the counter was dirty and the other serving and prep areas were not clean either. I tried to NOT think about where my bowl was located just before I ate my pho. I tried to NOT think about the server's dirty fingers on the rim of my water glass. I tried to NOT think about the open containers of supplies/kitchen/cook ware that undoubtedly were used to make and serve my dinner. Even with "ok" pho, I will not return to Pho City. There are simply too many other great pho places to come back to this one. And most of those other places are clean!

This is a pretty typical authentic Pho place with the signature Vietnamese beef noodle soup with an assortment of ingredients. We ordered 3 small bowls of Pho and their "Four Happiness" platter. The "Four Happiness" platter was pretty good but very small portion for the price. See pics. The Pho bowls portion size is smaller than other comparative Phos. Broth was good but all the meat was tough and overcooked. The chopsticks looked pretty worn. At first I thought it had mold on it. It is located in the Potomac Valley shopping center so parking is free via the lot. But my main problem was with how they automatically included 15% gratuity and don't explicitly tell you. First you have to go to the counter to pay. They don't come around to give you the bill. Then, they give you a receipt that doesn't itemize what you ordered but still has a field for tip. So if you don't carefully add up what you ordered you would add more tip to the tip that you already included in the subtotal! So multiply the menu prices by 1.15 to get your subtotal before tax. It no longer is a good deal. I am not against tipping but I think it should not be a flat rate and up to the sole discretion of the patron. The extent that we were waited on was just a one time refill of our waters. To me that is not 15% tip-worthy. Amongst the many Pho places in Montgomery County, this one falls short. Will not be returning nor recommending this place to others.

Pho was awesome! Not the best but it was great.

Delicious pho soup but I know it has some Msg since my mouth was dehydrated a bit after. But it was still good. Egg rolls were yummy but wish they had lettuce to go with it since I like to wrap. They charge tip automatically.

Great pho! Simple and to the point dining too. Definitely authentic, especially in comparison to a lot of places in the area.

Ordered for last minute takeout since our regular place is closed on Mondays. Enjoyed the B1 Pho, an order of spring rolls, and crispy noodles with chicken. The crispy noodles were not quite what we were expecting. It was a bowl with vegetables and broth and a bag of ramen-like noodles on the side. The spring rolls were delicious! Overall, satisfied the pho craving but wasn't the best I've ever had. Service was great on the phone and pickup though!

this place used to be good, never was great. Recently went inside and ordered for sit down. Chicken Pho was decent, average, but prices have increased and portions have gone down. If this was my only complaint I would have given three stars, but the waitress was bordering on RUDE, on top of it being a challenge communicating with her when speaking very clear English. Sorry but after several visits I will not be returning here.
