First off the atmosphere isn't the best because its to crammed up inside. All the tables are way too close to each other unless you like eating super close to strangers lol. Second off you have to order food before you can het seated at table? I want to go out to eat and not have to rush at looking at the menu. I want to sit at the table and figure out what i want before i order it, but they told us to go up and order first before we get seated and just felt very rushed so we left. Ive been there a few times and simple egg platter was mid. Dont think ill be back

Usually this place is pretty good; this Saturday morning they seemed more slammed than usually during the week- and it showed. Without a wait they only had outside plastic-enclosed space available (they have heaters, but 44 degrees! ), they messed up my order, repeated requests for more napkins ( there was a spill) were acknowledged but never filled. It actually is one of my favorite places - the cats head with potatoes (minus the missing ordered eggs) were very tasty though potatoes were a bit over salted.

I try not to let my husband being at work stop me from braving the world with our small children. Going out to eat with them is always daunting for me, even with his help. They’re usually ok with shopping but I had never taken them to a sit-down restaurant by myself. I went yesterday with the 4yo birthday boy and the other turning 1 in a few days. If you know, you know. That was a risky move, but I wanted to get out and enjoy my time off with them. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated as there wasn’t too big of a crowd on a late Tuesday morning. It did fill up a bit after we arrived. The high chairs are amazing!!! If you have very small kids, these high chairs have a high back and attached eating surface. The best!!! Anyway, everyone we met was nothing but kind and patient (both staff and customers). It felt like we were visiting a friend and all three of us left happy and full. The food was great! I highly recommend the bacon stuffed waffle, and the child pancake order came out Mickey Mouse shaped - you know the big circle with the small circle “ears”. They also have a kids breakfast sampler. I think it was called The Ones. 1 egg, 1 meat, 1 pancake or French toast (if I recall correctly). It was a great way for the baby to enjoy different flavors and textures. Adorable! I couldn’t wait to tell my husband about how great a time we had and we will absolutely become regular faces. The table next to us ordered what looked like maybe a club sandwich that looked absolutely perfect. I’m looking forward to eating my way through their menu!

This is definitely a hidden gem. I recently found this place on google and decided to give it a try. I ordered online(you can call in also), be aware that your order has to be confirmed by the restaurant and that can take 5-15 mins. It took about 15-20 for our food to be ready after the order was confirmed. I would recommend ordering ahead if you are doing take out. There are two entrances, the entrance we went through was on the side that takes you straight to the counter for pickup. Thankfully we called ahead, the line had about 10 ppl and all the tables were occupied. The environment is similar to a local diner or mom&pop shop. Our food was ready for pickup once we arrived and we were acknowledge as soon as we walked in. Ordered waffle side of sausage, grits, french toast(3), french fries total $35 with tip. Waffles 8/10 with syrup and cinnamon butter, sausage 5/10 it was something about the texture i didn't like, grits 6/10 it could have been cooked just a little longer (i prefer my grits gritty and creamy) these were on the grittier side, my bf rated the french toast 5/10 and the fries 9/10. I would go back and try other items on the menu especially since they serve lunch & dinner.

I really wanted to like Grumps. The service was fast. My food was ok. The beignets were raw. The place was dirty. The table next to us nearly collapsed on the poor girl sitting

Huge plate of slop.I ordered, " Cheese toast." The description under read, marbled rye toast ( opereative word is TOAST ) avacado spread, Jack cheese and egg. What came to me was NO TOAST! Soggy rye bread, avocado spread, HUGE soggy tomato ( i LOATHE tomatoes) and dry scrambled egg atop.No one asked if i wanted a refund, no offer to redo, No apologies whatsoever. I was actually rushed to leave. Terrible food! There are many breakfast restaurants in this area. Choose somewhere other than this place if you want to eat.

Arrived at Grumps Crofton on January 26th at 6:35 pm. Found the doors locked and observed a towel hanging over the "OPEN". The sign on the door listed their hours as closed at 7 p.m. No one was in the seating area and 3 female employees behind the register counter. I went back to my vehicle and called. The one female employee picked up the phone and I asked to speak to the manager. She advised there was no manager available and to call back the next day. I called the next day and asked for a manager. I was told there was one not available and had the individual take my name and number and gave him a summary of what i experienced the evening before and requested that a manager contact me. Well its now Tuesday (4 days) since my request and no response. I was going to give them an opportunity to repond before I posted a negative review, but they failed. It's debatable now if I will return as a customer and will share this experience with others.

I order their burgers one a week, never frozen Angus beef nice and juicy. Also a good crowd. Nice atmosphere. Team members are friendly. Nice low key place.

Scrumptious food, cheaply priced and a classic diner-type ambiance of local clientele. Who needs IHOP?
