On 3/30 I walked in to tropical smoothie and wasn't greeted. The young lady behind the counter called for a Anthony or Antwan I believe his name is. He comes to the register, he doesn't say hello or ask how may I help you. He just looks at me, I guess waiting for me to give him my order. I thought it was kind of rude but no big deal. I ordered an Acai bowl with added peanut butter, no coconut chips and no banana. I finally get my order and leave. Once I get in my car which is parked directly in front of the store. I attempt to eat my bowl but the bowl is completely frozen. My spoon wouldn't go through it. I come here and get this bowl all the time and it's never frozen to the point I have to scrape it. It's a smoothie bowl. Anyway, I go back into the store and again, not greeted. Anthony/Antwan finally turns around. I inform him that my bowl was frozen to the point I couldn't eat it. He says that's the way the come. Which I know that not to be true because I order them all the time and I informed him of such. He continues to inform me that he has been there for 6 months and that's the way the come. So I then ask him his name and ask if he is the manager. He tells me yes. I ask him if I can have a refund because he wasn't trying to accommodate me in any way (I just wanted a bowl that wasn't frozen).He tells me he can't give me a refund because I left the store. I literally sat in my car to attempt to eat my bowl. I didn't make a scene I just said okay and left the store.I was very disappointed with the way he as a manager handled the entire situation. I was basically forced to pay for something i couldn't eat and now have no desire to eat. The customer service was very disappointing.

Staff sound like they are fighting a lot and never are aware about customers expect to wait like 20 minutes for a person to come cause they are too busy talking or fighting in the back

Walked in and was quickly, and immediately greeted And asked if I was getting pick up I said yes the young Caucasian woman wearing glasses made a side comment to her coworkerI can’t quote her verbatim but it was something along the lines of “ I love when you have a pick up order and they expect you to know their name” the co workers eyes immediately got big and locked with mine I then said “ what “ looking very confused the young woman wearing the glasses then confirmed my name placed my order on the table and told me to have a good night .I usually come to this location, and I’ve never had any issues maybe This young lady was having an off night. I’m not too sure, but I didn’t appreciate the shady comment

Great service when placing a to-go or pickup order. Order also typically ready on time when doing a delivery order so your smoothie arrives quick! Excellent customer service from the staff which is always greatly appreciated!

Had a terrible interaction with one of owners (KC? I believe he said his name was) -- after having issues placing my order online, I placed a second order but this time forgot to remove bacon (my error- I recognize this) however when I asked if it was at all possible to have it remade since I don't eat pork he cut me off, shrugged and said that's the sandwich, and he could pull the bacon off for me. I told him unfortunately that would still probably make me sick and he said that's all he could do. I asked to have my food refunded and he REFUSED saying to just take the food. Now, I may LOOK young which is probably why he was comfortable being RUDE. However, as the center manager of a store next door (I and my staff frequent here) I definitely expected and am used to better service. Big thumbs down for Mr. KC -- be better!

I come to this tropical smoothie often and have been a faithful patron for over 2 years since they’ve been here. Today, on Christmas Eve…my partner and I visited for smoothies and while the quality of the smoothies were consistent per usual, I am solely writing this to speak about the gentleman who appeared to be a manager. He was in a red color shirt. My partner and I were disgusted at the way he was speaking to the employees. It was aggressive, disrespectful, and if they were children. When an employee approached to asked a question, he loudly responded with “3 minutes not 5 minutes. I told yall don’t rush me”. Just nasty and rude. The employees deserve better and respect. This is coming from someone who has worked in food service before. Whether they are in high school or not, he needs to speak to them with respect and decency. My partner and I both cringed and discussed it when we left. He shouldn’t be managing anything without people skills.

Employees always talking which I don’t mind but they aren’t doing anything while we stood in like for 15+ min just waiting to even get our order taken. They are horribly slow and terribly rude. The manager made us wait this long and didn’t even apologize. I get it things r busy but they had 2 smoothies to make and at least 2 people doing nothing. At least apologize for the wait.

I have been getting smoothie and wraps from Tropical smoothie for quite sometime. Me and my daughter split the wrap and smoothie. Today for the first time ever I got charged for asking for an additional cup. No other Tropical Smoothie has charged me. We don't share after Covid. I told the guy I was here yesterday and didn't get charged. Didn't even answer me. He was so grumpy. Never coming back here!!

Tried to order online but could not find the Gambrills store in the never ending list. I go inside and say something to one of the gentlemen working there. He could care less and went on to say it was not a problem for all their other customers. Then I order a chicken wrap that is supposed to have a peanut sauce. There was no peanut sauce instead there was a sugary, vinegary brown sauce that recked the sandwich and made it soggy. It was horrible. The kale salad was a lot of the same very sugary, the apples were soft not crunchy and it had an odd smell. The high volume of sugar makes the food not healthy.

The reviews aren't wrong about the service, but the food and smoothies are fire so just deal with it I guess.
