For lunch I ordered some goat biriyani and some other stuff. The goat was burnt and overly spiced biriyani. It was absolutely horrible! AVOID!

Normally don't do bad reviews. I had a terrible experience yesterday. Ordered a chilly paneer and biriyani. First time ate a bite of weird tasting paneer. I'm sure it's gone bad or expired. The biriyani had a raw biriyani masala smell. I ordered the food and within 5 mins, I got the order on my table, that shows the level of effort and care put in to prepare these food. Wasted $16. Please think about the customer, when u r preparing the food.

The food at Bhimas is very authentic and well prepared. The saffron rice and garlic Naan are outstanding. They support the mains which are spot on. The restaurant is clean and offers complimentary hot tea. The service is just ok. We never got our starter even though there were only two other tables with guests and So if you want good food, this is it, but be prepared to watch the wait staff for your order. The food earns more than three plates, but overall I have to rate a three.

I ordered Dum goat biriyani. It was best Dum biryani I have had around DC metro area. We went to celebrate kids soccer end of season . Group 10 kids and 10 adults . Every one loved the food. We ordered Dum goat biryani , butter Chicken , Chicken tikka masala, pepper chicken .....

I understand that the ownership recently changed and that things weren't always great under the previous ownership. What I can say is we showed us on a Sunday at 1:50 pm with 20 people (10 kids in soccer kit and parents) and the food and service was great. It was far better than the Indian food near us and the chef came out to make sure everything was great. The kids loved the Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala and tandoori Chicken and the adults had great food too! Plus, after the kids finished, the staff helped to teach them to dance Bollywood style. It was fantastic!

The restaurant is tucked behind a gas station on Clopper road (between Great Seneca and Germantown Road) in a small strip mall which is not very inviting. Once you step inside, its a different world. For the first time I saw an outstanding customer service in an Indian restaurant. Food was very delicious, almost like home made. Ambience of the place too was impressive. The restaurant scores across all facets on my first trip and hope they would maintain the quality of food and customer service. Apparently they have "dosa night" on Thursday. Will be checking out soon.
