Fantastic place to purchase farm to table meats, cheeses and bakery items

This place is almost dizzying...there is so much to choose from and so many treats to tempt you, from fresh baked goods to bbq to cakes as big as a hatbox. We had great home style lunches in the cafe with big piles of beef and delicious potatoes and slices of pillowy cake to take home and eat later. Is it rude to say that everyone on staff is dressed like they're in "Witness"? Probably, but they were also lovely, gracious, and patient with the throngs of people lining up to buy hams unlike anything you find in the supermarket, and chocolate turtles the size of actual turtles, waffles piled with fruit and whipped cream, Easter bunny bread, and cheeses, and fresh flowers, and dinette sets. I wish I could be here every day. Prepare for a wait to get a seat in the restaurant, and the possibility of sharing a table. It's a place to be nice to other people, so scoot over and make room, and just enjoy your coffee.

Went to the restaurant after seeing they had remodeled. Very disappointed. My husband and I went at 11:30 on Thursday. There was a very short wait for a booth. We waited for the waitress for a long time before we were given menus by a staff person. After waiting even longer the waitress showed up and took our drink and food order. The drink order was wrong, we had to wait on condiments, coffee refills, boxes, paying for meal. It was not the service we have had in the past. We then stopped at the candy store and the customer service was just as bad. No one in front of us waiting, but no staff would help us, they all acted busy prepping stuff.

This place is absolutely amazing everything I have ever gotten from there was great no matter which part you get it from the pretzels or the potato salad or anything to be honest, is amazing. And you can't beat the price for what you get! I highly recommend it.

The waffle was heaven in my mouth. That is all. Also I got a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and they make the sausage patty there and it was so gooooooood. Love it.

Fresh donuts, pretzels, breads, cakes, pies, every kind of homemade candy...fresh flowers. Fried chicken, awesome selection of side dishes and sesfood salads, fresh fruit and veggis--I don't know what you won't like here! Oh, they even have a small restaurant in the middle of the market. It gets a little crowded on the weekend, but the lines move pretty quick.

Ah, the dutch market in Germantown. This place is open during limited hours and days throughout the week, but when it is open, you can expect a ton of people to be there getting fresh food or some unique items. Personally, I usually go there to get their pretzels, but a lot of people love their fried chicken and go for that as well. They also have some restaurants in there and I've seen it fully packed on some weekends where people are having breakfast/brunch there as well. If you are in the area, I would recommend going and checking it out!

Great fried chicken and pretzels - pepperoni is the best. Good selection of cheese and baked goods.

This place is quite trashy and not very big. Dessert selection is dismal. BUT! The pretzels are quite awesome, fresh and buttery. So it's worth going for that!

Super super crowded on a rainy Saturday around the noon hour. Came here for just the donuts. While they were tasty, some of them were not cooked thoroughly in the middle.

OMGOMGOMGOMG So oddly I was hoping this place only accepted cash so I wouldn't spend excessively and only one vendor only takes cash so let the games begin. Pretzel Shop Only accepts cash, there was a long line and everyone in front of me ordered the cinnamon sugar pretzel so I figured there's something to it so I ordered it as well for $2.50. They also offer regular, sour cream and onion and raisin. Beilers Donuts I got 1/2 dozen for $6.50 and a dirty chai and my favorite flavors on the donuts were surprisingly the sour cream and regular glazed ones. I will say these donuts are super dense and heavy. They also have the entire baked goods section and I got a butter pound cake that was so moist and buttery. Lapps Candy Got the orange cream fudge which was dried out and inedible (sad face) and the dark chocolate caramel fudge which was absolutely rich, creamy and delicious. They have a variety of candy covered apples and I went simple with just the caramel coated granny smith apple which I ate the next day and it was amazing! Bulk Foods Herbs, spices, cookie mixes, grains, pickled veggies. I pretty much picked up a little of everything. What was the damage? I left spending over $40 for my first visit. Imagine my next visit I'm a lot more familiar so it's on like donkey kong.

Being from the Lancaster area originally myself, I was so excited to see this market!! The people that work there are from Quarryville, PA. Although it is a bit pricey, I expected it as I am used to the market prices being higher. The quality of the products is awesome and fresh. They've got a great butcher selection and bakery. As well as a restaurant inside the market. If you're a PA native like myself and missing the fresh markets, this is the place to go!! There's plenty of places to grab something to eat inside. From pizza, soft pretzels, donuts, bbq and so much more! The donuts are $1.19 each and DELISH.

These are hands down the best kolaches we've had. They're homemade in the store. Sausage, cheese and pretzel bread! We always get 3 for $9. It's out Saturday tradition!

Fantastic donuts and pretzels. I've walked around here numerous times and always walk out having eaten something and taken something home. Habitually crave the donuts which re made fresh on site. Pretzels hot out of the oven or filled always have a queue and are honestly worth the wait. The same goes for the barbecue counter (specifically the fried chicken). Butcher offers decently priced meats. Family restaurant is well priced and almost always entirely full.

Whenever I describe myself as being from Germantown to strangers, I always make sure to mention we have a great Dutch market with awesome food. My favorite spot here is definitely the pretzel shop. I've gotten the cinnamon sugar, glazed raisin, and sour cream/onion and love them (especially the cinnamon sugar). In addition to that, their roast beef/cheese roll is also fantastic (a little salty but I have it every once in a while). Make sure you have cash for this vendor since they don't take cards. I also like Zook's cheese due to the amazing crab Cajun dip they sell. It's definitely one of the best dips I've ever had and combining it with the sea-salt bagel chips makes it next level addicting. The half rack of ribs at the BBQ spot is also great. The meat is tender and plentiful, and priced fairly. I like to get it with the BBQ sauce on the side. Make sure you go during the times it's open. It gets fairly busy so try to get there earlier during the day.
