Dumpling soup had no flavor, filling was hard/dry. Other dishes were good. 18% minimum tip is mandatory, you have no choice, they add it to your bill themselves.

Excellent Hong Kong/Cantonese food, one of the best in Maryland. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. If you want good Cantonese food, come here.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But the service today was just soooo awful! It’s becoming a money grabbing, greedy place. When I asked for my check, the lady at the counter pointed out the recommended tips printed on the receipt. Then after she printed out my credit card receipt, she crossed out the preprinted tip recommendation of 15% and leave only 18% and 20% available for choosing. I normally leave 20% tips at all times. But she forgot my order, she never stopped by to check if we needed anything, and then trying to force the tip amount in the end. Just really bad service and attitude!

Came here with family of 4, total order about $65 about 5 dishes... after server dropped off food never came to table... never refilled tea... when received bill, they added 18% gratuity! I complained why they added to bill without us having a say... told me mandatory 18%. BS.. Been here several times, never has this happened before. Never coming back. U do not dictate how much ur service is worth... if u expect 18% tell people up front before billing and improve ur service.

They have usually been pretty good in the past, but lately the taste has gone down a bit. It doesn't compare to other Canto places around Moco like East Pearl or Far East. They don't season their dishes and it's getting kind of bland. Service was still fast and friendly. English can be a challenge when ordering over the phone and explaining what you're looking for.

The service is terrible. The male cashier was very rude answering phone. I want to change one dish 5 seconds after my first call. He said we are very busy and you can’t change dishes once you ordered. When I drove there picking up my order, he rudely asked me to leave the front desk. And he yelled to me saying you can leave and We don’t need your business. One lady who was eating at close by table told me this man always acts rude to customers . I will never go to that restaurant again.

This is a solid choice for authentic food. Tonight the restaurant was extremely crowded and they ran behind trying to keep up, however, they were gracious and trying their best to meet the demand. We are glad we waited it out. Once we got a table we were able to quickly get hot and delicious food! Among the dishes we ordered, we particularly enjoyed the Buddhist Delight, schezuan green beans and house chow food. The meat was perfectly cooked & delicious!

On more than one occasion, the staff either shorted me an item or gave the wrong order. The food is OK, but the accuracy of the orders is inconsistent at best. If you order carry out from New Village, make sure to check your order before leaving.
