Dropped in for lunch and the food was so good! Don't let the exterior fool you. Usually, when I order pit turkey sandwich at any other spot it comes out dry and needs sauce. Not Deven's! The turkey was juicy, the sandwich was loaded, and the fries were so crispy. I can't wait to come back.

Excellent pit beef. They ask you how you want the meat prepared, I have not seen that being offered at pit beef places before. Also the buns are big and the fries are good. Definitely recommend this place!

My husband and I go there all the time for the pit beef sandwiches as they are very good. It is hard to find a good pit beef around....go figure right. The owners are always very nice and the food is always good, way to go!`

I got the Maryland crab soup and there was not one shred of crab meat in The whole bowl and every single vegetable in the bowl was uncooked it was still hard every vegetable even the potatoes were still hard it was by far the worst imitation of Maryland's traditional crab soup ever

My most recent visit was extremely disappointing. Considering I grew up going to canopy often, my expectations are that of what they use to serve up. I no longer live in the area so I had not been here for about 4 years. They have new owners who are very friendly but unfortunately the food was terrible. The same tradition and quality is not practiced. I always use to get the pit turkey with tiger sauce. Needless to say the “pit” turkey was lunch meat turkey thrown on the pit , literally ? Inside the glass counter was actual Deitz and Watson lunch meat. I now know why. The sandwich had a horrid taste, like a fire starter fluid. The fries weren’t edible because they were so hard. Seems they were already cooked and then dropped again to make them hot which is what made them hard as a rock. Sad to say this old gem has went to hell and I will never return. I am nauseous just thinking about the taste!

Small local restaurant with a good selection of menu items. Got the pulled pork sandwich combo and it was a good amount of food. Pork sandwich was pretty loaded, the sauce wasn't too sweet, and the fries were pretty good.

Quiet out of the way, just off of Ritchie hwy. Kinda like a hole in the wall place but nicer. Food is good. If ur used to fast food burgers this is not it. They specialize in "PIT" pit ham, pit beef, pit style hot dogs and such. Nothing fast cooked. Everything has been cooking since long b4 u walked in the door. So ur in for good food not fast food.
We placed our first order via Grubhub. The food was AWESOME! This was some of the best Bar B Que we've had in ages!

The food was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered a Reuben and it was bomb!!! The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing and so was the Pit Beef!!!! I also recommend the popcorn shrimp! Everything was so yummy! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Also wonder customer service! Thank you!!!!!
