Crispy, juicy chicken. Nashville style was more sweet than hot for our taste buds, though we didn't mind one bit. Got beans and mac for sides, both wonderful. Actually the beans were the spiciest thing we got, made it nice.

Miss Mabel's is my favorite place for fried chicken. Usually am not a fan of honey flavoured chicken but theirs was done to perfection. Fried fresh for us, juicy and crispy skin, bursting with flavor...equally impressed by the quality of the sides.

I ordered the fried okra, fried pickles, chicken sandwich meal and small dark meat meal. The young lady at the register had good costumer service skills as my order was late. My order said it will be ready at 6pm, I went at 605 still not ready, I came back 30mins later and briefly waited. Now as for the food, the small dark meat meal I ordered was to come with two sides, I ordered fried okra and Mac and cheese, disappointed the Mac and cheese was not added. The fried okra was very salty only tried one bite. I got a leg and thigh, it was fried very well, flavorful and delicious. Definite hit.The chicken sandwich on the other hand was not desirable. It tasted and looked like a pre-cooked frozen chicken. Comparing it to the dark meat meal, definitely was miss. After one bite I could not eat it anymore. The fried pickles were decent. Most I may come back for the fried chicken but for a little over $50 spent I was disappointed with the overall taste and missing items.

Great potential but terrible execution, I waited thirty five minutes for a chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese that were cold when I received it, the banana pudding had completely melted. One of the cooks was grabbing food without gloves. Just a total lack of care for customer service, will never eat order food from this place again

What once used to be Gus' is now Miss Mabel's. Once my favorite fried chicken spot, but it still hits the spot. Chicken is still juicy as ever and the sides are just about the same as before. Can't go wrong with the seasoned fries, but they also make a great cole slaw. They make a solid half and half to quench your thirst. They added different spice levels to suit all populations, but trust me when I say this...the frat boy spicy isn't that spicy. I wish it was spicier honestly. If you're an above average spicy eater, you'll down that no problem. Still the best fried chicken in the college park area. An absolute gem if you attend the University of Maryland or if you're just visiting family and friends. The decorations makes you feel like you're in the south and the southern hospitality displayed by the staff is always a friendly reminder that dining in is an experience worth having. Feel free to call in and order out if you're on the go. Fairly priced food with a friendly owner.

#1. My first order contained fried chicken, 4 pcs, of which 2 pieces were partly raw. Sadly, I didn't find this out until I got home with the meal. #2. I ordered the second time thru a delivery service. I ordered 4 items, within mins the restaurant called to tell me they didn't have 50% of my order ... So I wanted the order canceled, and called the delivery service to cancel, their policy. So, the delivery service has to call the restaurant to be sure the reason for me voiding the order was legit... Well the restaurant employee - didn't tell the delivery service that the place of business didn't have but 1/2 of what I ordered... thier employee told them I just cancelled the order... False, they lied... as they were the cause, not me the PAYING CUSTOMER... I didnt order 4 items as to get 2... Imo, if you don't have all items that are offered on the app for the delivery service... TURN OFF YOUR AVAILABILITY or TAKE SAID ITEMS OFF THE APP's MENU! Why? Because the delivery service can DECLINE the customer's refund... if all circumstances aren't on point with their rule's . 2.25.22 - I'm 1000% done with Ms. Mabel's restaurant & would never recommend ANYONE to ever even try this place. Sad when one considers what the Lib's have done to most all restaurants in the last 2 years - simply because of the CDC & Dr. Fauci... "Covid" b.s. !

Is it chicken??? I could not tell. It tasted more like the old McD's chicken nuggets made with chicken slurry. There was no bite, no discernible resistance as I bit into the sandwich. Was it a McFish or McChicken. I could not tell. I did enjoy the mac and cheese and the coleslaw sides - but I wont be back.

I ordered the chicken sandwich meal via Uber eats. I did not receive the cheese on my sandwich, the drink, and the sauce on the side was missing. I can understand one missing item, but to get the entire order wrong is unacceptable. Hi Erin, Yes the order was placed under my name. I'm not sure why you can't see it. Ubereats was able to respond to me.

Delicious fried chicken and pimento Mac and cheese! We ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived quickly and it was really fresh and hot. I got the medium Nashville hot chicken and it was super spicy— in a good way ? but if you can’t handle the heat then you might want to go for the mild. Flavor was incredible.

To get here I drove past a Popeyes and a KFC—both had tons of cars lined up in the drive-through. I walked into Miss Mables, and I was the only one there. That makes absolutely no sense to me. There shouldn’t be a chicken spot in a mile radius to this place because it’s not fair, this is genuine fried chicken that blows any major chains flavor out of the park. This place is clearly a hidden gem.My only complaint was that they forgot my bread and pickles for my fried chicken meal. The chicken is crispy and tender. The sides are loaded with flavor. The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. If this place was on U Street or something like that you would have to make a reservation a week in advance. It’s that good. Do yourself a favor and give it a try they have something for everyone here.

MASK VIOLATIONS. The two chefs in the food prep area, all in black, were not properly masked. One was wearing a chin strap-mouth and nose both exposed. The other had his nose fully exposed. There was a management type seated at the counter facing right at them in a white Davidson sweatshirt. I did not have time on my lunch hour or I would have gone elsewhere. I ordered the half smoke from the Burger and Sandwich menu for carry out. The sausage was excellent. The roll became soggy with the mustard and I recommend mustard on the side for carry out. It's a shame, what could have been 4 Star became a 1 Star out of apathy.

I've done some Nashville chicken type dishes at home because I like the flavor profile. Ruby Tuesday's has a nice Nashville hot sauce but I've never specifically had Nashville Hot Chicken in a restaurant as these spots are few and far in between in the area. Enter Miss Mabel's. I was in the College Park area on business and decided to give it a try. I ordered two breasts "Frat Boy" hot their hottest level. For a little over 10 bucks that's a good deal. I was skeptical at first, but the spice and hotness level was there, the skin was crispy and the meat juicy and flavorful to the bone. Very nice. Good customer service and experience with the bar and all of the visuals with a decidedly "southern" theme. The outside decor makes you believe it has been there for years and that someone's grandmother is back there cooking. Lol. Will be returning.

Have to say when I came into this place I was amazed that it was pther restaurants combined. The people here have been nothing but pleasant and awesome with their service. I am not shocked at their service at how good it was but was beyond elated to receive such service in this way. Definitely enjoyed everything about this place and will definitely be back. Worth spending the money and worth it overall. Amazing!!!

This was my first time trying Mabel’s and they definitely did not disappoint. I got the SoCal breakfast sandwich it was amazing. Portion size was worth the $9 price tag. Customer service from Stephen H was great as well. This restaurant has 6 different menu’s to choice from. Check them out you won’t be disappointed.
