I was not pleased with my food. I live in Frederick and I normally stop by to get fries. I was in Hagerstown and saw the checkers sign. I pulled over and ordered. The fries were horrible ?. I have never received burnt fries from any location. I will never stop at this location. The staff working the window was rude too.

A manager (anbell) was very unpleasant. I payed 40+ dollars for cold food and also got 2 cheesecake sundaes. (Alex) cleaned out the ice cream machine into a bucket on the floor and scooped the ice cream out the bucket into the cups . The manager anbell or anibell did not want to give me a refund she called another manager (RUDY) on the phone to see how to do a refund. MANAGERS NEED TRAINING...Don't go you will get sick..

I seldom eat Checkers and when I do it is usually a loaded fries kind of event.I stopped here while driving and after placing my order sat in the lobby, happy to get out of my vehicle for a while. A gentleman was sitting in the lobby listening to reels with his volume up. We all like to be entertained but neither this, not the reels we're entertaining. I believe he may have been an employee on break because when he finished he got up and went to the back of the building, not out the front exit.The food was disappointing. I ordered the Big Buford and it came lukewarm and I think the lines on the patty were just coloration because this meat never saw a grill, microwave maybe, but it lacked the taste and surface texture of anything that has been either over open flame or on a grill top. I will try Checkers again but if this is their new way of preparing the food it will be only for a final confirmation.

Good food, but the inside of the restaurant needs serious attention. Peeling paint on the walls, dirty floor tiles and grout lines. A thorough / regular cleaning , some new paint and this place would be really nice.
