Meanwhile there was a Uber eats/dasher back there literally hovering over them talking all over the ice cream, gross. ?. Also waited 20 mins to order. Not blaming staff, they need help from management.

My recent visit to Cold Stone left much to be desired. The confusion during the ordering process due to inattentive staff training was forgivable, but the checkout mishap was concerning as they had charged me for the couple behind us who came in several minutes after us luckily I caught it before paying. The quality of the ice cream fell short of expectations; the coffee mix pictured lacked the promised toppings and looked like plain coffee, as well the other orders seemed to have no toppings mixed up as well. To make matters worse when I brought this to the attention of the staff, the response from the staff to address the issue was disappointingly unprofessional. I showed her my order compared to the photo above of what it should look like and she said she would have to charge me for additional toppings. Which I get if I was being greedy but I literally was digging to find any toppings mixed in and I had spent nearly $70. The employees couldn't have cared less so I just walked away accepting defeat. The tables were also noticeably dirty, adding to the overall disappointment. It's unfortunate that such a simple joy as enjoying ice cream was marred by these shortcomings. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I have great childhood memories of coming to coldstone. Unfortunately tonight though I had a terrible experience. Firstly, I got their special Reese's ice cream that was vanilla with Reese's cups and Reese's sauce. When I received my ice cream there were BARELY any toppings. My family asked if I got plain vanilla because you could not see any toppings on my ice cream. You'd think for an $8 ice cream, it should be LOADED with topping. Secondly, the service wasn't great. Although I understand that people need to be trained, the guy taking my order had no clue what the Reese's special was. As he continued to make my ice cream and as perviously stated, he didn't give me like any of the toppings. Thirdly, all the tables were dirty with crumbs and grime on them. Overall, terrible service, overpriced ice cream, and dirty location. I suggest getting ice cream at the grocery store instead for a cheaper and better experience.

The day before Thanksgiving. I called at 9:50 asking if they can take my order over the phone and they said no. I get there at 9:58. They answer the phone when I call the store but won’t let me in. I TOTALLY get that they close at 10pm. I just miss when people operated with love and kindness. I had also said I would tip them an extra $5 (I’m not rich lol) but they couldn’t accommodate me. Some people would’ve taken my order and that’s the part that sucks. It always depends on who is on the other side of the door. They missed a blessing (not from me but iykyk) small acts of kindness will always win. Anyways, happy thanksgiving all!

I would like to change my review of cold stone creamery in Hanover MD. I was very pleased on the last visit. I will take responsibility and call to find out if they have the smoothie mix before each visit.
Shouldn't they announce whether they have run out of smoothie mix before you wait in a long line just to find out they don't have it. I ordered a shake with way too many calories for me and it wasn't even that cold. Had I known I could have gone to another store in the area but at the time that store was beginning to close so there weren't many options. The workers were nice enough but let us know ahead of time by announcing it so we don't waste our time. This was only my second time there and will call ahead the next time. It's also more expensive than the other store and that smoothie would have been colder at that store. I have to give it one star and that's for the person who waited on me.

We came almost BECAUSE the reviews were so bad we wanted to see for ourselves. The bad attitude and service did not disappoint. We started with an innocent question: can you fill my water bottle? I dare others to give that a try.
