Customer Service was really nice. I was greeted when I came in and welcomed. I wasn't ready but when I was ready the cashier was taking an order over the phone but another staff member immediately took my order at another register and to top of the great experience the food was delicious. Upon entering this establishment…all I could smell was the GOODNESS of sweets and food…it smelled so good in there and it was CLEAN…no trash anywhere and the tables were spotless as well…I was greeted by cashier and some other person behind the counter as well…the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious and fresh…the flavors of everything was just on point…I love the fact that this is in fact a SOUL FOOD SPOT and it’s the real deal! 5/5 for me for sure

Very good food, especially the pork chops - the cabbage was also great. I'd recommend ordering in advance if you're short on time, there was about a half hour wait (it was worth it though!). Everything was fresh and delicious.

I ordered the BBQ Beef ribs entree w/ collards and mac n cheese. There was so much potential here that I am sorry to report that the collards were sooooo salty. The texture was great and the other seasonings were great but the salt just overpowered them. The ribs were OK. Honestly I didn't know they were boneless, but that's forgivable, but they were literally swimming in BBQ sauce so the texture without bones was way too soft. The mac was really good - crusty top layer and all. The portions were beyond generous - enough for 3 meals. Unfortunately the collards had to be tossed, there was just no way to save them . The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was pretty stark with only 3 booths to sit down and eat at but otherwise felt clean and bright.I will try them again but I am going to ask for a sample of the collards before I buy- maybe this was a one-off. BTW, the cabbage was much better ( I tried a few bites of my BF's).

I needed some comfort foods and gave this place a try. I am so glad we did! The cornbread is sweet, even my 7 year old was tearing up the greens, the fried chicken was perfect, ribs were falling off the bone, and the banana pudding topped it all off.
Today was my third time at Southern Blues in Hanover Maryland. I placed my order at 12:27pm(time on my receipt) My order was grilled salmon with two sides.It took 55mins with no apology from the cashier or the manager to get my food (the place was not crowded at all).If you have industrial equipment why does it take so long to get one small portion of salmon(this was the third time I had to wait over 20 mins). This was the straw that broke the camels back. I will no longer support this business, management wasn’t concerned with the length of time I waited to get my food and no accommodation was made to keep the customer happy.Good food but no urgency in getting walk-in orders filled within 20 mins or less.
Sold me a dried out pig feet. It was hard and undercooked.! Tried calling several times they put you on hold and never return. Customer service is horrible.*I got in touch with them the very next morning and spoke to Tyrone who replaced my entire order. He was kind and understanding. The replacement was delicious

The service was great. However, I ordered fried chicken and a baked chicken dinner. The food was extremely salty, the string beans, chicken and rice. Unfortunately, we could not eat the food. Very disappointing and waste of money.

I ordered 2 dinners; tilapia dinner with mac and collards and the surf and turf(lake trout) with mac and cabbage. The lake trout was spoiled! It smelled so bad they HAD to have known it was no good BEFORE they cooked it. The meat was even slimy. The cabbage had zero seasoning and it was over cooked(mushy) and the mac was super dry(old). The food was inedible. I tried calling for a resolution but wasn't given one. I spent close to $40 there yesterday but that was my first AND last time eating from this establishment! Anyone with any sense would know that that fish the cooked for me was gone bad!
