Good food, but I won't be going back. They added an extra ten dollars to my bank charge that I didn't sign and approve.

Very good Maryland style seafood. Crab cakes are huge and a must! I got the steak and crab cake combination which was really solid. NY strip w/ 8 ounce crab cake w/ 2 sides. They have great fried seafood and non seafood is very solid too! Great for birthdays or other celebrating. Great service even at the end of the night after hours! Recommended and will be back!

My family and I have been dining at Timbuktu for the past 24 years. Despite noticing how much it has changed since Covid, higher prices and subpar service, we still patronized the restaurant. Tonight’s meal and service was probably my last. Number one, if you are short staffed, please let your patrons know up front. Don’t sit your customers and let 20+ minutes pass before someone, and in this case the manager, takes their drink order. If it weren’t for the fact that my parents were 86 years of age, I would have left to search for another restaurant. Secondly, please don’t advertise items on your website, on your outside marquee and on your table settings that you no longer serve. We are now 45 minutes into our visit and our server tells us the items that you’re advertising for your “Wednesday Chop Night”, you no longer serve and haven’t been serving for a while! Yet you are still advertising these items on your website and your outside marquee sign!!! And third, the quality of your food is not what it used to. Especially considering the prices you are currently charging! I think the manager on duty tonite should have at least apologized to each and every customer. Did we want our bill adjusted? Certainly not! He knew tonite’s service was unacceptable and that’s why he never made eye contact with his patrons and walked by every table with his head down. The best part of our experience was when we handed over to Charles and he was our server! He did his best to rescue this evening. Sorry to hear that he will be leaving soon! Had the pleasure of him being our server on a previous visit and he always gives ? percent service!!!!

I usually go to another place for crabcakes. But this is definitely my new place! Food was delicious from crab chowder to the crab cakes. Server was friendly and very accommodating! There is a reason they have been around since 1948. Highly recommend and definitely returning when back in the area!

The atmosphere is quite dated. I would have to say that though the food is tasty, it is definitely the crab cake as usual, and the service is impeccable

Neat looking place but didn't do any seafood before flight. Had one of the burgers (cowboy maybe it wasn't super memorable)... It was fine but not something I would go out of my way for.I'm sure if you go there for their namesake it's better. It was good too see that they raised prices (with a note that is reasonable ) to maintain their reputation quality rather than cheaping which is why I'm giving the service a 5 star. Wait staff was 4/5 mostly because I just wanted to eat and they did take care of us well but didn't interact with them much.

I had over 40 guests for a birthday dinner. They had table clothes on the tables and had us all by our selves. Food was absolutely amazing. Had to different servers for my party and they was great. So if the famous food items in the menu had changed but the food was still very well portioned and delicious

The waiter was nice but it took longer than usual to bring out drinks and the food was just okay. Fish was overcooked, and husband said the steak tasted like they had it soaking in vinegar.

Crab Dip was more like cream cheese and no crab meat. Being originally from Maryland I know what it should be like. Cream of Crab was ok it did have a lot of crab meat once I got to the middle of it.
