The worst African I ever had. The cassava leaf was nasty, no flavor no spice. The chicken didn’t look done and the goat was tough. The Jollof rice tasted burned or smoked. When I called they told my it would be ready at 1:30, I called at 12, when I got there I still waited 25 minutes. I drive all the way from VA. Definitely was not worth the drive, wait or money. Very disappointed, food ended up in the trash.

So I pulled up and they are closed. On Google maps clearly says they are open and there are several cars parked out front however door is locked and dark inside. So disappointing.

I don't wanna focus too much on the establishment.. As it's a little dirty in my opinion.. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. But as I waited for my food and I mean I waited 30+ I began to speak to the guy up front, Kind well mannered guy he explained it was coming be patient.. When I got my food I only wished that the fufu portion was a little larger as its not enough for the meal so a bought an extra ball anyways....Let's focus on the food....I ordered red stew chicken, egusi and fufu..Basic n simple however alot of restaurants make it and it sucks..However THATS NOT THE CASE HERE!!!STEW WAS GOOD, EGUSI WAS GOOD, FOOFOO WAS GOOD, CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GOOD...AND with that being said if your thinking about eating here. Give it a try...

I only rated one start because I couldn't leave a review without a star. HORRIBLE experience. I ordered some food for lunch through grubhub for here, not ONLY did they not open on time (1200pm) I arrived at 1245 and they STILL were not open. THEN they said they never received my order, which they admit is not my fault they have these issues with grubhub. But then they proceed to tell me that they didn't have the ingredients to make what I ordered. Will NEVER patronize this business again. Very unprofessional with timeliness.

I came inside of Sun Bim Afri an Carribben to find that it seems to be still coming together. There wasnt but one menu to look at, no attractive decorations or nothing that stood out to show the restaurant's purpose or passions or even inspiration.... The workers were all very nice and attentive to customers. It did smell good as far as what was cooking. I was given a sample of a possible new soup kinda dish that the cashier said they want to get customers thoughts on before adding to the menu. The spicy was over powering for me. I wasnt able to really enjoy the other flavors. I left without ordering due to the restaurant not showing its preparedness of servicing with the right things to influence my interest of what would to interesting to try. I will go back to find out if it has updated in those areas and if there afe displays that will give options thats hard to choose from
