The food is good but you have to add your own pepper. They don’t like adding pepper to food.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I ordered potato leaf, by the time I got home I realized they gave me cassava leaf and the place was closed. I called once they opened to notify them. I did not eat any of the food and asked could I return it and have the order corrected. She told me today is a new day. I asked what does that mean and she repeated today is a new day. I said that statement does not justify giving me the wrong order. She starts yelling and screaming saying I want free food. Absolutely disrespectful and hung up on me smh.

The food is really good in this little hole in the wall resteraunt. I had the pounded yam and egusi soup. It was a delicious assortment of meats in the soup. Additionally the soup was spiced well. The pounded yam also tasted like it was made with high quality ingredients rather than the powder instant pounded yam you make with boiling water. Now for the not so good. As good as the food is it's hit or miss wether they will have the food available. There have been a few times I've gone there, mouth watering, and ordered some pounded yams and egusi, oxtails, etc only to be told we are out today. My advice is to save yourself the trip and call your order in ahead of time. Which will help mitigate issue number two ...the wait can be very long depending on what's ordered. Most of the times I've been there there were only a handful of customers but the wait time stretched to about 30 minutes+. Yes I know this isn't McDonald's but when it's only you and another customer I think the food should come out faster. Regardless I still give them my business because the food is that good.

One day my sister wanted cassava leaf and fufu. I told her it’s a spot by my house and we went she got her cassava leaf and fufu and said it was delish. She started requesting I stop by before coming to her house often. One day I ordered the Peanut Butter Soup and the women who cooks it is awsome! She came out and talk to me explained to me about the different menu items and I decided I wanted peanut butter soup with chicken and she did her thing in the kitchen! My food was so good I couldn’t even tell my sister otherwise she be pissed I didn’t get her anything! Lol defiantly recommend food takes about 10mins to be ready.

Loved!! I tried potato leaf before and enjoyed it, but it was spicy. I've been looking for it ever since. Food this African carryout reviews were good. I was excited to try. So glad I did! And was happy the had the option spicy or mild. Delicious ?. Meet all my expectations. Good customer service. Reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be returning.

First timer to this food. Ordered fufu and egusi. AMAZING!!!! The person working was pleasant and helpful. We also bought the crunchy peanut butter bars (unsure what they're actually called) in containers to the right of the ordering window. It was sooooooo good! Forgot to picture that but we ate it up fast.

I’m giving 5 stars because I haven’t found a restaurant since the Weyone lounge in 2010 that served potato leaves. I’m so excited to try them and I hope it taste just like I remember. I will be back to leave a review afterwards.So I tried the potato leaves and I give them a 10/10 !!! I’m definitely coming back ! And the prices are reasonable!
What I'm going to say is the food is amazing I mean well-seasoned the lady is very kind and accommodating my only complaint is they take a little bit longer than usual but it's definitely worth the wait not enough to turn me away LOL
