As you enter this restaurant, they give you that fun group irasshaimase greeting. The menu is mostly consisting of ramens and sushi rolls. I opted for the tonkotsu ramen. It came lukewarm, and the taste was average. The service was attentive and friendly.

Bottom line upfront: most menu items are $3 more than other sushi restaurants. Sushi pieces are smaller, ramen was bland, atmosphere was nice and service was fast.Overall pretty disappointed. It feels like sushi restaurants are getting greedy and trying to exchange a luxurious vibe for value and quality of food. The service was fast and friendly, except one moment where the waitress made a comment to the host about having to wait for us to order, but perhaps it was nothing.The food came out on one of the robots and my kids loved that. The ramen was a little on the bland side and was really hoping for a more savory flavor that we love ramen for. The I-270 roll pieces appeared to be smaller than other sushi restaurants we have gone to. The portion on the wagyu short rib teppan rice was small. The meat was marinated but overall tough. The dish itself was good and probably the highlight of the meal, but value was not there. They also charge an automatic gratuity of 20% on large parties, but I don’t know how big that is. I’m guessing more than 6? Don’t believe they offer a military discount either.

I stopped through on the way back from DC and I was blown away. I got the vegetarian ramen with 2 eggs and every part of this meal was delightful. Not only was it delicious, but also prompt—they got me in and out in a cool 30 minutes. Quick, fresh, delicious, and nourishing. Couldn’t recommend it enough. I’ll be back on my next trip into DC!
