My experience started with a 20 minute wait inspite of there being many (more than six) tables in my immediate peripheral that were available. Once a waiter escorted us to our seat, I noticed even more tables available. The service was was quick and our waiter was courteous. When my meal came to the table, I was a little put off because my salmon was OVER dressed with some type of sauce. It was just way too much of it. Instead of complaining, I scraped it off and attempted to enjoy the meal. I ordered the grilled salmon. It was supposed to come with spinach and mashed potatoes but unfortunately the restaurant was out of spinach. I substituted brussel sprouts instead. That was a mistake. The brussel sprouts were charred but not crispy. I've never eaten brussel sprouts that were so fibrous in my life. It was really odd and off-putting. I only ate a few of them before I gave up. The meal also came with mashed potatoes and they were delicious. They were literally the best thing on my plate . Halfway through my sauce-scraped-salmon I discovered what believe to be a bug. I think it was either underneath the salmon or mixed into the sauce that was on top of the salmon. I became instantly disgusted. I showed it to the waiter and he stated that he would bring me something different. I thanked him for the offer but refused anything else from the kitchen and asked that he advise his manager as to what occurred. He took the plate, bug and all to show his manager. After about ten minutes, the manager comes to my table and proceeds to try and convince me that there was no bug in my food and that this was probably just charred fibrous parts of the brussel sprouts. I explained to her the bug was not found in the spouts but rather on the salmon. She then told me it was just charring from the salmon but you be the judge. (See photo below) All I know is that I will never eat at this establishment again. I did not appreciate the manager insisting that this was not a bug when I could clearly see that it was. She did offered to comp my meal to which I rebutted and asked her do comp the entire order as I was out on the date. We were less than halfway done with our meals when the bug was discovered and uninterested in finishing either meal. That should have been the minimum offered.

The previous reviews don’t do this establishment justice. We were away and staying on Landover, MD looking for a place to eat. This was listed on the Marriott in room entertainment system, which isn’t always great places to eat. Well finally this one was. We were greeted by Mallory who was very nice. When we entered the restaurant live Jazz was being played while we waited. We were seated in under 5 minutes. Our waitress Laysia C was courteous and attentive. The hiccup we had was there were no beers on tap which the menu had several. We started with the cornbread which had a great kick to it. My son and I had the crispy chicken sandwiches which were very good and my wife had the rattlesnake pasta minus the smoked provolone which was the right move, it was excellent. My daughter had the rotisserie chicken which she loved as well. I finished the night off right with a key lime pie. We were very impressed with the service, atmosphere and the food.Kid-friendliness: Kids had the crispy chicken and rotisserie chicken

The incident occurred yesterday during lunch.Management nor waiting staff know how to read a foreign ID (from the Bahamas) and just denies acceptance! What's interesting is we've been to the Silver Spring location multiple times with NO issue. And living in DC constantly out and about providing the same ID for YEARS with no issues. The manager sends the waiter over to do the dirty work of denying the issued GOV'T DRIVER'S LICENSE and inserts a vague comment about the Department of Justice... That has absolutely nothing to do with an official government issued ID.We left and went to a restaurant around the corner, showed the same ID with not a question raised. This is ultimately discriminatory ignorance. And living in such a transient community as the DMV. Never again.

I had a large party to feed. I called to make reservations and the staff was great. They worked with me to ensure we could all be seated at the same time. When I called and said we were running late, they said no problem. When we arrived they were ready for us and we got seated right away. The staff were pleasant and personable. They made sure we had everything we needed, didn't rush us, checked frequently to see if we needed anything. The bar was amazing, and the food hot and memorable. Everything was delicious. I would recommend highly. I look forward to going again.

We went very close to closing time and sat at the bar. I got the crab cake platter with collard greens. It comes with two crab cakes which is more than enough for one person, they were delicious. The greens are very good, but I suspect there's a good deal of sugar in them. If you are watching your sugar intake beware, but I ate as much as I could of them. The bartender, Jai, who resembles Tupac, was very attentive and made the best Peartini cocktail! It was a good visit.

My dad loves this place. Looking for vegan options? They have an impossible burger. The fries are delicious. It's the best quality restaurant in the Largo/Kettering area. If you aren't vegan, try the salmon, it is delicious every time.
