Parking availability was good. For a Sunday, I was impressed with the wait time. We came at peak hours, brunch right after a lot of people’s church services might let out, and maybe waited 10-15 minutes. They had a DJ that was playing great music, which was a vibe. At times, the music was blaring. We asked our server if the DJ could turn it down a little, and they were accommodating. If no one said anything, it would be impossible to have a conversation without straining your voice. The people I ate with got the fried chicken & waffles, & the catfish & cheesy grits. Both of them were impressed with the portions, and couldn’t even finish their meal. For their drinks, I believe one person got a tropical beverage, that they enjoyed, and the other ordered frozen drink that was underwhelming. I was told it was too sweet & creamy, instead of fruity, and came with whipped cream that hurt instead of helped.I got the strawberry splash (strawberry, Sierra Mist, oj, and maybe, passion fruit?) and it was delicious. Think a strawberry lemonade mixed with a tropical sprite. 10/10For food, I got the seafood grits, which came with sausage and shrimp on top of cheesy grits. I appreciated the diversity of flavors that were provided by the selection of protein. Both were well seasoned. It was the perfect amount of cheese in the grits. Good portion. 10/10

Okay let’s be realistic here! The food was DELICIOUS! Definitely worth the wait! There was a wait time of at least 30 minutes for the food to arrive. They seemed to be super busy! So I was understanding of that. However, wait time is the ONLY reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Charnise (restaurant manger, I may have spelled her name incorrectly), was very good. She made sure I had my mimosas while we waited for the food. The food omggg I had the blackened salmon over their mashed potatoes and spinach! 10/10!!! Food was sooo good! The wait is longer than most place BUT its definitely worth it! Will be returning again!

Places like this make it hard to support black business. There’s no reason as to why the wait should be 2 hours with SEVERAL empty tables. Also, once you’re seated, no one comes to help you right away. I see why they automatically add gratuity….because they know they wouldn’t get anything if it was up to the customer strictly due to the terrible customer service. Overpriced and underwhelming.

SERVICE IS VERY POOR AND SLOW I WAS THERE FOR 2 HOURS ONLY RECEIVED MY DRINK ASKED FOR MY FOOD TO GO WAITED ANOTHER 50 MINUTES THEN ASKED THE WAITED HOW LONG THE MANAGER SHAWNICE WITH BRIGHT PINK HAIR TOLD HER DONT GO ASK ABOUT ANY ORDERS! THIS IS PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHY ESTABLISHMENTS DONT LAST ESPECIALLY WHEN RAN BY PPL LIKE US(African American). HOPEFULLY THIS REACHES THE RIGHT PERSON OR PEOPLE AND SOME CHANGES AND STAFFING ARE CHANGED.!

Got the French Toast combo, I received burnt bacon on my plate (see picture). Coffee wasn't even available, place was not great when it comes to atmosphere and cleanliness. We waited for too long on the food and it was not great at all! Very disappointing especially when they have an auto gratuity included ? The place is far to expensive for what it is! Will not go back there!

Wait time was 30 to 45 mins for table , ok fine. Host sat I’m assuming her friends at a table over and they came over an hour after us. Ask the host about it she said oh y’all can follow me to a table. Servers were arguing over who table this was took 15 mins to be greeted. They had no champagne for mimosas no flavors for the tea. My son asked for the French toast platter they have no bacon for the platter. I asked for chicken and waffles guess what they have no chicken. My wife asked for seafood grits you guessed it they were out of crab meat.. WOW we got soda and waited. The dj sucked. After 45 mins of not hearing anything from our server I found her and asked we asked where are food was. She came back said it will be ready in 4 mins. 20 mins go by still no food no refill on drinks no nothing. We got up to leave the manager says we need to pay for our soda gives me a receipt with 18% gratuity added. I’ve been here before food was decent but these servers are piss poor at best I won’t return

I used to be in love with kitchen cray until I was charged $30 gratuity for bare minimum service. The food is always immaculate however, the gratuity is going toward the server who wasn’t deserving of a $30 tip. We ate with our menu’s. And our waitress told us she couldn’t split the check. However, another waitress came over and confirmed that we could indeed split the check. I understand why this place went from being fully packed, to people barely being in the restaurant on a Saturday.

One of the worst Brunch spots I have been to. The service was terrible. (They charge an 18% gratuity.) laughed and all huddled near the kitchen and did not really pay attention to the customers. The food was terrible and took way too long to get. For the prices they charge it’s very disappointing. $16 for only 4 deviled eggs. $36 for cold lamb chops and under cooked chunky and bland mashed potatoes. Ordered a pineapple juice that tasted old and tart sent it back and got a ginger ale that was flat. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it.Two thumbs down.

We used to always the H Street location, which has been closed down... but, this one was good as well. The parking at this location is much better. It's also really cute to see them preparing your food. The food is always seasoned, hot and fresh! The Metro Park location needs their times updated though.

Wish I could do a half star. Went for a gathering for a birthday party. They literally had nothing in the kitchen: eggs, bacon, champagne etc. This is brunch, so basically they didnt have anything. Wont return to this location or the other. Youve been warned.

I thought I would get the same experience as H street. The location in MD is understaffed. The food orders kept being wrong, they had nothing for mimosas or any other drink. I ordered the jerk chicken salad, the chicken wasn’t cut they were huge blocks with so much fat. The one waitress tried her best but there’s no support. After eating they tell us no change …… this should be something stated in the beginning that exact change only or a card. There was no courtesy or apologies. Def would no recommend this location.
