Great, Great experience both times I ate at this restaurant. First time a friend invited me there for Sunday Buffet. Experience was awesome! This time past Friday I took a friend there. Host was very personable and courteous. He was also very patient while we decided on what we would order. He also took the time to explain the menu to us. The appetizers, the main entree, the tea, the mango lassi were all delicious. Will definitely return. A hidden gem in Laurel.

I ordered a few wet and dried curries, don't remember the names, it was a while ago since I been here. My favorite was definitely the dried goat dish. It was really nicely seasoned, extremely flavorful and just delicious. There was another one that was chicken with an orange colored sauce, that one was even better. I also ordered this micro doughnut dessert/appetizer. Cute-looking and pretty ok in flavor. Service is excellent. The young guy (I think he's the owner?) was really nice and speedy service-wise. He wouldn't accept a tip lol, but he was too nice so I kept pushing it on him hahahah

Recently moved to MD and for the past few months, I've been searching for "my restaurant" that I know can provide delicious food and great service. FINALLY I've found the one :') Met up with my husband and our friends, and we ordered quite a bit: gobi manchurian and samosas for appetizer, butter chicken, gangora chicken, and tandoori chicken. Also, two orders of garlic naan! They gave us 3 plentiful servings of basmati rice as well. We were getting emotional eating because it was all so flavorful!! My personal fav dish was the gobi manchurian appetizer which essentially was fried cauliflower in a blissful spicy and sweet sauce. Honestly beyond a satisfying experience and the service was excellent too. My bag was on the floor and one of the servers kindly pulled up an extra chair so that I could properly place it there!! It was so nice that I was geniunely touched. Def will be frequenting this restaurant whenever I want to have a proper dine out experience!!!

I have tried this place for couple of times now. Their dosas are on point tasty. The indo chinese menu also is nice,. Service is great. I think they still dont have liquor license - hopefully they get it soon.

This place changed names, management and chefs so many times in 5 years that I kept losing count. BUT currently it is in a good place. Hope it stays like that. I started eating there when it was Curry Leaf, then it was called Godavari. Now it is Pongall. I wasn't exactly hungry but I was in the area on a Saturday evening. So, went for an early dinner. Wanted to keep it a bit light, I ordered parotta with chicken salan. Together it was $12.95. Super reasonable. I was expectimg a small serving of chicken curry in mirch ka salan style. I was wrong(thankfully). They gave a full size chicken dish which was so yummy. The pieces were tender and the gravy had nice spice. The star was parotta though. It was so nicely layered in crispy circles. It was still earlier in the evening. It wasn't crowded yet. So, I also had a chance to speak to the staff, Karthik, in length who told all the good things about the current chef, management and his recommendations. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area and hope the current set up stays for a while.

We had such a pleasant later lunch. One waiter and he was fantastic. I had the ghee dosa and my buddy had the Pongallo special dosa. Both were delicious and filling. We will be back.

Friendly and attentive staff, clean facility, and the food...very, very satisfying. Lamb curry was rich and flavorful, perfect spice level. Chicken Tikka Masala was bursting with flavor and spice. First time trying Korthu Parotta, was not disappointed. The after effect of all this delicious food was a delightful food-induced coma that left us full and happy. Will definitely be back.

Not one to leave bad restaurant reviews, especially in such trying times, but this was by far one of the worst Indian restaurants I have ever been to. We ordered idly as an appetizer (a staple south Indian appetizer) and it came out 45 mins later with a watered down coconut chutney, and “lentils.” It did not even remotely taste like sambhar and did not taste like daal - I have no idea what it was. The idly itself was deconstructing by the time it was put on the plate. After waiting even longer we were given the most doughy, flat, undercooked bhatura, and half decent Chana masala. The masala dosa was just ok - served with a funny tasting aaloo masala and the same lentils and watered down chutney as previously served with the idly. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the wait or price. I’d definitely try them again if even one of the dishes was ok, but not when 3/3 were a complete flop.

The food is worth the wait , if you dine in here . We were their for the family dinner after checking the online reviews., The order took some time to arrive as we politely informed that they received lot of online orders . However the food was worth the wait. Every item of our order tasted great with perfectly blend of spice and meat. We felt that the Chef really cares about his art .Not to mention that the folks here are very courteous and diligent. After months our search for some good Indian food has culminated.

We tried Pongall Biriyani and are truly glad we did. Not only was the staff super friendly but the food was awesome…and trust me, I don’t give that compliment very lightly. If I had to give a rating, I would rate it either top one or two Indian places I’ve tried in the states…definitely work the trip and then some…

Okay...those that know us know that we try restaurants all over the country so, when we say that this is top 1 or 2 Indian restaurants that we have tried, you know this place must be good! Everything from both the Jasmine and the garlic naan, all the way to the Tandoori chicken, this place was on point. I almost forgot...the Halawa was the best I've had since I was in Islamabad...totally authentic fare...this place is a most visit!!
