I recently visited My Kabul with family and some friends. Having been to most Afghan restaurants in the DMV and being Afghan myself I can say that the food was average. We ordered mantu and spinach for appetizers. Mantu has a good taste, but barely any yogurt sauce on them. The spinach lacked salt and not as flavorful as other restaurants. The kebabs were juicy, however lacking salt. The rice was good as well. Overall food needs improvement and salt please!!The service was great, our waiter was kind and hospitable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and homey. I enjoyed the dining table and chair setup as if we were at someone’s house.Overall, I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here, but I might stop by if I’m in the area.

There’s not much distinction between appetizers and entrees; everything you ask for tends to show up at the same time. No matter the size of the order, it’s wheeled out on a cart. The generous kebab platter lets you sample skewers of marinated ground beef, chicken and lamb arranged on a raft of freshly baked flatbread that sponges the juices of the meat and also serves as an accompaniment, instead of rice, if you ask. If I were to get one kebab, it would be kofta, ropy beef decked out with cucumbers and onions seasoned with sweet-tart sumac.Pan-fried okra in a light tomato sauce is a better vegetable than sabzi, or pureed spinach seasoned with garlic and coriander, but only because the kitchen has a heavy hand with salt in the latter (twice, unfortunately). And lamb shank under a dome of fragrant rice, scattered with carrot strips and raisins, tastes more boiled than roasted.

Qabuli Plov hits the spot. I have been coming here for last one year and yesterday I got food for 25 people. Each and everyone appreciated the taste and rich aroma of the food. Highly recommend!

Forget about all of the other Afghan restaurants in town and eat at this restaurant! The most authentic food I've had in a very long time! Food is super delicious and the service is top notch!Parking is a bit limited in the plaza, and also because the food is freshly made, it takes some time for it to come out so get some appetizers while you wait ?Enjoy the food!

The dining area was put together nicely and the food was good. The food portions were large and inexpensive. The restaurant was busy so it may have helped to have more staff to work the tables. I would definitely go back. The hosts were very nice and accommodating.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians will have plenty of options to make a choice.

Food and service were good but the location is not wheelchair friendly. While there are parking spots available, the sidewalk is all sloped and the door is a step up of at least an inch. Once we got into the restaurant, we had a great time.Wheelchair accessibility: Do not visit if you are wheelchair-bound.

Fantastic food and great service. We had Mantu, Shami Kekab, spinach, Bawlawnee and butter chicken. Ambience was very warm and pleasant, not noisy so we could have easy conversation. Very affordable. Will definitely go back when we visit the area again.
