How many times do people have to give 1 star before you get a new chef to season the food? This isn't BBQ. This is seasonless deli meat. I don't even LEAVE REVIEWS...

Been here a few times in my life, and the food has always been very good, as well as the service. The restaurant is tucked away in this business complex at the end of Main Street, Laurel, MD. There is plenty of parking in the back, and a cute stoned stairway takes you around the side of the building, and to the front of the restaurant. The interior is a decent size, with plenty of tables to choose from, as well as a bar, and tons of blues music memorabilia on the walls to entertain the eyes (the restaurant's theme). I ordered a half rack of ribs and a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and coleslaw. The ribs were fantastic, and the meat fell off of the bone. The pulled pork was cooked nicely, but was a little on the bland side. The potato salad and coleslaw were also very good, but also a little bland. I think they under season a lot of their food so that not every bite you take is saturated with richness because that could be overwhelming. My wife ordered the RH and B chopped salad. It was tasty enough thanks to the ranch dressing, but the salad itself was nothing to be amazed by. I know it's just a salad, but when you present a salad as a meal and not a side, it has to be above all other dishes because it is essentially just lettuce, vegetables, and a protein. If anything, you must plate the salad better than just throwing it on a plate, and stacking meat on top. Offer a special dressing that accentuates the protein/veggie combination, and maybe a toasted baguette to add another food texture to the meal. And if you are placing raw carrots in the salad, please make sure they are cut to bite sized pieces, not just whole baby carrots thrown into the salad. But this is just me nitpicking. For desert, we had the peach cobbler. I definitely recommend this dessert to anyone eating at this restaurant. It was simply delicious, especially when served with vanilla ice cream. All in all, I really enjoy this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants some good ol' bbq.

What a great place to eat. I have only been twice but I enjoyed both times. The food was great and the service from Gabby (Lola Rabbit) even better. Thanks so much.

Nice place, nice people but the meat needed a little more seasoning. The sauces were good though...

It's like a quiet small town restaurant. You'd never know you were in a chain. Alex was an amazing server. We never asked for anything. Napkins, drink refills etc all just magically appeared. Food was served quickly and large portions.

I will start off by staying the staff was really nice & seem like it would be a good experience if u dine in. But the food itself wasn’t that good compared to other red hot and blue I been to before. I got brisket, chicken , Mac cheese, fries and hush puppies . Everything was a miss taste wise beside the hush puppies. Even thou it’s local I rather go to 45 mins to Virginia if I want to eat there again

Im a new resident of the DMV and was in search of some good BBQ - my husband and I went to Red Hot & Blue Laurel a few weeks ago and was greeted by the friendliest waiter/hostess/BBQ sauce aficionado Wess!!! From the moment we walked into the door Wess greeted us with a warm smile, educated us on the signature BBQ sauces. He even went so far as to combined 2 signature flavors - customizing my own sauce. Not only is the customer service top notch but the BBQ is so DAMN good!!! Pickles fried to perfection and them hushpuppies - sweet baby Jesus it was so good. I can't end this review without mentioning how delicious the whisky sours - so good I had 3. If you're ever in the area stop by for a drink or two and dont forget to ask for Wess

I've been going to this location for close to 15 years with my partner. His family has been going for even longer. We ordered takeout and I was a little nervous with all of the recent reviews. However, upon opening everything and eating - it wasn't nearly as bad as everyone made it seemed. I can tell that things have gone down hill a little bit because the food was slightly different than in years past and the restaurant was completely dead. I hope this place continues to push out great food and don't forget a sweet tea!

This was my first time here and we were stopping in before driving home to Brooklyn. Chris was super friendly and gave great recommendations! As a former DM and trainer, it is so refreshing to just have a great experience with someone so personable. We had the burnt ends, and the Tennessee Triple and everything was cooked perfectly. The fried Okra was soooo delicious and we finished everything off with the blackberry cobbler... the rest of the staff was just as friendly. I come down to the area quite often now, so this will not be my last visit!

Been going to red hot and blue for years. Always pick up the wing drummies. My favorite potato salad also.

Parking: Street parking in front of resturant is hard to find. The big parking lot is in the back, but you have to walk up the stairs. Minimum handicap on the street.
