Clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, good location, beautiful area, friendly and helpful staff, new, quiet, great amenities, nice decorations in lobby, convenient pickup foods, close to historic area of Solomon’s Island.

We stayed two nights for a family reunion. So many issues with this place: 1) there was NO air conditioning in the hallways on the second and third floors. And of course, it was HOT that weekend. There were several fans on each floor but the hallways were oppressively hot. 2) Ants. We were moved from our first room because of an ant infiltration. Our second room had far fewer ants, but they were still present. Relatives also had this issue. 3) Despite what the hotel-written review says, parking is NOT free. There was a large sign at the front desk informing of a $4.10/day "parking recapture fee. Breakfast is standard hotel buffet fare, but the menu includes a few made to order items, including omelets. Note that there is only one cook so if you are in a large group, made to order items will take some time. We enjoyed being with family and the area is lovely. However, we will not stay at this hotel again.

The worse Hilton I have ever stayed in. Construction throughout the hotel, dining room closed and NO MENTION Of this on their website when we booked. We booked a king bed but were given a queen. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, broken & duct taped in places. The room smelled horrible; a combination of smoke and mildew. No other rooms available due to the construction. Our reservation included the cost of breakfast and we did not get reimbursed. Managment just shrugged their shoulders and did nothing !

Having stayed at a LOT of Hiltons, I'm going to write this review keeping in mind the myriad of hotel experiences I've had (that range from awful to awesome). This hotel I would say, overall, was pretty good. It was very clean, very nice, in a good location, with friendly staff, and comfortable beds. It served its main purpose - giving you a clean, safe place to stay. Some notes that other guests have noted: -Outdoor pool - the website says it's open but it's actually closed intermittently. You have to check each day to see if it will be available, which is a pain, and not helpful if you have kids and are trying to plan if they can swim. -Indoor pool - closed for renovation. Hopefully they fix it soon. -Renovations - nothing too noisy or messy that I saw. The fitness room (while small) looked to be open, but I did not use it. A construction worker got grumpy with us for using the entranceway when he was caulking nearby but.... it's the entrance to a hotel. What were we supposed to do? - Breakfast - EXPENSIVE and not great quality. Looks like the rates have gone way up for breakfast since other reviewers have posted less than a year ago. Expect at least $15 per person. -Parking - website says it's free, but there is a paper sign printed out at the hotel desk that they actually charge for parking. Why?? It's not a guarded lot and in fact is shared with another business. How do they monitor this? What is going on here? This seems very shady. I would overall stay here again - I think once the renovations are completed it will be much nicer. But I am still side-eyeing the parking situation, and I would get food elsewhere.

I agree with the other recent reviews. This hotel in under renovation and we were never informed at the time we made our reservation. Really deceptive. Indoor Pool - Closed, Restaurant - Closed, Bar - Closed, Exercise Room- Closed. Even though my reservation said there was breakfast available, all that was available was a cup of burnt coffee. The bathroom in our room was a joke. There was only one bar of soap that you would have to carry from the sink to the shower and back again. No hooks for wet towels of robes. No toilet paper holder. The roll-in-use sits on top of the toilet tank. The bathroom vanity is so small that you can't put a Dopp kit on it. That's okay. You can unload what you need into the vanity drawer, right? See photo. We accidentally left a shirt behind (our bad) but when we called to request that housekeeping retrieve it from the room, we were told that was not necessary because if they found it they would turn it into the "Lost and Found." Proactive - not. By the way, our one night Hilton Honors rate for this room was $244.02 before taxes!

Traveler beware!! This location is under renovation (for the past 7 - 9 months!!) and the owners are not telling anyone until you arrive and find yourself unable to even get breakfast!!! And the workout room is also closed and LOTS of renovation going on. We had reserved 2 rooms. We arrived at 10:45 p.m. because of a long day of Tavel. We asked for breakfast vouchers and that is when we were told there is NO BREAKFAST....not even a 'grab and go' bag!! I will have to say that STEPHEN, the manager, stepped up and did what he could to make things 'right'. Bless his heart! He can only do so much because...well, he doesn't own the facility. The 'rules' come from those people who DO own the facility. Shame on them for not letting their guests know of the major inconveniences going on. AND....their rates are going up plus they are going to start charging for parking.....in a 'rural' area??? STEPHEN....THANK YOU for being who you are and trying very hard to recognize that we, as travelers, have choices. We definitely enjoyed visiting the Solomon's Island area. It was great to visit there.

No warning that remodeling was taking place. No site amenities - no restaurant, no fitness, no store, etc. No notification that room care had to be requested a day prior. Computer system at hotel was glitchy - checked in online and sytem kept assigning us a different room and would not make hard keys for the reserved room. Worst Hilton property stay that I can remember.

We had an incredibly disappointing recent experience with this hotel. We had a group coming in for a special birthday celebration, and were shocked by the condition of the hotel that has been under repair for months, with the lobby and entryway completely torn up, building equipment all over the place, no restaurant or pool, and to top it all, on the weekend of our stay, the computer system broke down so none of our guests could get into their tooms without an escort. While management was initially responsive to our concerns, they never responded when we tried to get support for the key system being broken, nor has Hilton every responded to our concerns. My confidence in Hilton is completely busted as a result of this, and I will be staying at other brands in future.

We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful desk staff. Check in was super easy. The room was large and well equipped with a great shower and plentiful toiletries. The beds were very comfortable and the HVAC system worked well. We enjoyed our stay but there were a few quirks that detracted from the experience. They charge a $2.16 parking fee per night in spite of having a large parking lot surrounding the hotel. Why bother charging for parking? Do they charge that parking fee to people who visit the hotel for a few minutes? Would they charge me if I said that I had walked to the hotel? A strange fee. The breakfast was not included in the room rate and the charge was $11.95 per person if you ate the hotel breakfast. The price was very high for the food that was included. It was good - but not $12 good. The indoor pool (and the spa) are closed long term because of a reported crack in the pool. The outdoor pool was also closed. This is not a huge inconvenience but I was disappointed as we were looking forward to a swim and hut tub at the end of our day. They should inform guests in their email confirmation so we could plan accordingly. The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Could easily be a five star hotel if they fix the few issues.

During our stay we were helped by Stephen Kelly & Tiana Forbes. They could not have been more helpful. We are Hilton Honors Gold Members and we felt very appreciated. The rooms are a little dated and we could smell the chlorine from the pool in our rooms. However, we were told the hotel is getting ready to do a major renovation. The buffet breakfast was good. They had made to order omelets, pancakes and eggs. That was a nice change. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

I just wanted to get away for some ME time and this was the perfect Hotel for me to go for Solitude. From the hotel, I was 5 minutes away from Solomon’s Pier where I could have dinner and watch the beautiful Sunset. I enjoyed the quaintness being surrounded by the shops and eateries. The walks along the Pier were lovely. And of course the Hotel Staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely be returning for my future retreats. Lady Sunshine

Very nice hotel with an excellent and safe location. Liked: Extended pool hours, clean hotel, good views and very nice location. Very nice and responsive staff. Grocery store, McD's, BK and the amazing Ritas are all walking distance. Small but adequate gym. The outside pool was very clean and refreshing. Well maintained. Needs improvement: Nickel and dime stuff: $2 for surface lot parking, really? And $10 for a basic Hilton/Holiday buffet. I understand inflation is hurting you guys. But would rather you just bump the basic rate rather than the ticky tak charges.

Never going back there or to any other Hilton. Went for a weekend in June. Picked this Hilton because it had an indoor pool and hotub so we could relax a bit. Was told both were closed down upon check in with no reason why. Told to use outdoor pool instead. Went out to look at it and there was stuff floating in the water, algae or something gross like that. Thought breakfast was included, NOT! Only for the special gold members or something like that. It took 5 phone calls to finally get an answer once we got back to town. According to them since I booked thru a 3rd party I'm not entitled to satisfaction. That I'm lucky they bent the rule and gave me some crappy points worth about $70 if I stay in one of their Sholes. So I gather if you book via 3rd party you might well get a cardboard box to sleep in with scum to drink from the pool. You owe me $450! Not staying at any of their affiliates again. To them I say...I've upped my standards so UP YOURS!

The room had huge clumps of hair in the shower. The pool was extremely dirty and indoor pool and hot tub were not open. Had to go down to front desk to get pillows because they stated they were short on staff. I expected more from a Hilton property while celebrating my anniversary!
