After Hunan Taste in Catonsville closed abruptly, this has been our new favorite place for Chinese hot pot and spicy Chinese food. For some reason, this has also temporarily closed without further notice and we are really worried.

Highly NOT recommended this place. I went in with a friend and the lady led us to a table which can only accommodate two people sitting side by side. I didn't feel comfortable about how much room each of my friend and I would have because their tables were tiny (mind you we were doing all you can eat hotpot, so I wanted to make sure we each had enough room for our food, plates, drinks, etc.), so I asked for another table where we could just sit across. But the lady 'persuaded' me by saying some other tables were reserved, and the ones were not she worried about there would be a group of 4 coming in. Basically she forced us to sit at that tiny one. As we were served, we ended up like what I thought would happen - we didn't have enough room to stretch my arm while trying to get certain dishes. And the entire time we were there, they had plenty of tables still available where they could've offered us a more comfortable dining experience. Also, the selections were kinda limited, and seafood were not very fresh imo. Food in general are not worth of the price. Bottom line, they can't serve their customers right, so I'll make sure never going back.

This is our favorite hot pot spot! Everything is such high quality, not just the meats but the vegetables too. I love their sauce bar with a variety of oils and seasonings to liven up the flavors. If you’ve never had hot pot, they have video instructions running on the TVs to help you! My favorites are the pork, enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and bok choy. It’s a little pricey, but it’s all you can eat!

I love this place. I go so much that the staff have started recognizing me. The owners left the exterior of the old Friendly's in place but updates the interior for a really cool experience. The menu is massive and the broths are delicious. I'm very fond of the beef broth. Their meat portions are large so don't order too much meat! I really love the mushrooms and kelp knots. If you love hot pot, you've got to stop here and try them. The kebabs are also really good but I think the hot pot here is the best.

Fun experience but $35 for lunch is way too expensive imo. It's "all you can eat" but you can only cook so many kebabs at once and the more people you have, the less you can cook for yourself. The food is good and there is a nice variety of things to try so I would recommend it once but it's not a place I will be frequenting myself.

Don’t trust any good review here. That’s owner paid people to wrote. This is the worst chinese restaurant i ever been to. Thry use chemical charcoal which is very unhealthy, and they push you to eat fast so that they can save some charcoal. Also, the meat they serve is not fresh at all. My husband and I had a food poisoning after we went home. Don’t go!
10/5 stars!!! Asian Kebab & Hot Pot offers the best of both worlds with delicious all you can eat hot pot with tons of add in options, and amazing charcoal kebabs cooked right at your table! It's super fun and entertaining with something for even picky eaters! The staff is so kind and attentive, and ready to bring more items to continue the all you can eat fun! I definitely recommend for anyone!!!

If I can give zero star I would, worst customer service ever!!! Came in with my 9 year old daughter at a Tuesday, they first switch us from table to table, then tell us we have to have 2 adults to eat at their restaurant! WTF?! So single mom/dad can't take their kids to eat? Whoever made up this stupid rule doesn't have kid? Or at least you should listed on your commercial says only 2+ adults can eat your shitty restaurant so I can save my 35mins driving. Anyway I told them there's only 1 adult 1 kid in my family, I can't find another adult for them, and he told me I need to add $10 for the charcoal fee. Oh it's all about money cuz kids AYCE is $16, not enough for them to make their money. I refuse and leave immediately, never go back again. There's tons of good restaurants I can spend my money at, I recommend new generation hotpot and red pepper sichuan bistro, both of them are 4-5mins away from here, so save your money to decent places. whoever own this place, the greedy won't get you nowhere, remember it.
The restaurant looks rough on the outside, but it's much better inside. The staff is friendly and always looking for ways to be helpful and answer any questions. If you have never had hot pot before or never eaten at this particular restaurant and are unsure of what to do, no worries. There are televisions on the wall that play a short video on a loop that explains the entire cooking process. My one criticism would be the rather small tables that lead to tight seating conditions, especially for groups of six. The food is prepared in three courses, and you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck!

The bathroom is beautiful. That's the extent of the compliment for this restaurant. Other than that we were VERY disappointed that on an 82 degrees, beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon that the nice-sized outdoor eating area was closed. In particular during the pandemic that makes absolutely NO sense. Meanwhile the close-seating inside was packed. Backwards and unsafe! SMH.
