Beware, very poor customer service when she was a no show with the cake for a 12 yr olds birthday party after she failed to show for the cake to be picked up she promised she would deliver because she was running behind. Instead she pocketed $300 , never showed up with the cake and ignored all text and phone calls.

I ordered a wedding cake from the owner Tyreece. After paying the invoice, I sent an email to make sure she received my payment and I received no response. I texted her asking if I could pick up the cake earlier in the day because I had people coming into town and I had to make a couple of airport runs. She responded that it was impossible. She wrote that we had a scheduled pickup time for 6pm the day before my wedding. I texted her back to ask for the address to where I should pick up the cake the next day. She did not respond. I texted her asking if the add on the invoice was correct. There was no response. The next day (the day of pick up) at 2:52pm 3 hours before our scheduled pickup time, she responds. She said "Do you have the address?" I said "I have the one on the invoice, is this correct?" She said yes. I asked my groom to pick it up at the address she confirmed. He left work and got to the location at 5:15pm because it was too far from our home. When he arrived, it was a UPS post office location for a business address. At 5:16, Tyreece called me and told me she was running behind with deliveries and could not be there until 6:45. At 6:40, I called to check how far she was away from the location. She said, I am two minutes away. I told her that my groom was standing in front of the UPS. She said oh no that is our mailing address. I told her you confirmed this address. i asked to please take the cake to my groo who had waited so long for her to arrive. She yelled "NO!" "He will have to come here!" She gave me the address and told me that she would be waiting in her truck in the bus lane with her flashers on. The address was 5 minutes away from the mailbox address she first gave me. My groom met her there and picked up the cake. The cake is beautiful! I have not tasted it yet because the wedding takes place in a few hours. Even it the cake tastes wonderful, the very poor customer service that we received would not cause me to give a better review. i would not recommend Mela T Bakery for any special event! Especially not your wedding. Working with this bakery was overly stressful!

Ms. Tyreece was wonderful when I contacted her about a wedding cake last minute. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone together nailing down the details. The resulting cake was BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS. I have never eaten a wedding cake that I liked, but my groom and I went back for seconds during the cake cutting ceremony, it tasted so good.

If your planning an event and want to ensure you get quality product and professional service please find another baker. The owner is horrible at communicating, unprofessional, and not to mention the cake she finally sent to us almost 2 hours late was nasty and not at all what we paid for. To make matters worst she keeps saying a refund was provided but refuses to provide a receipt of refund or confirmation, left a message using profanity on my voicemail, and here’s the awesome part when I pushed for proof of refund she called screaming at me you got the wrong one. Does that sound like the kind of service you want after being a paying and patient customer throughout her nonsense. Now I’ll admit when she got ghetto I did go off on her but guess what that solved nothing cause I still don’t have my money back. Save yourself the embarrassment. Ms T. She then made things worst by becoming combative and short tempered when being asked reasonable questions . The young lady did try her best to keep calm but at the end of the day even for me the situation became ghetto on the part of Mela T Cakery. I feel so bad for referring her that I offered to pay her back the money she paid. I would recommend that Tyreece learns the art of customer resolution and keeping calm. We all understand things happen but she could have handled this situation so much better. And yes the cake was intact dry and tasted almost stale.

My family order a cake to feed 25 ppl for our 7 year olds birthday party.Due to an accident with a wedding cake earlier that day, we would be sent a replacement cake. Then problem is this was revealed after already being 2 hours late. So essentially they never did the cake that was ordered. The replacement cake was way to small to feed 25 people. Ontop of that the cake itself was crumbling and dry and poorly frosted in an ashy gray frosting. The children didn't even want their pieces. They didn't even bother to write happy birthday on it or anything. This is a $170 cake. A cake that arrived late, incorrect in size, poorly made, and not even quickly decorated. We could have went to a grocery store and done better. We could have made a box cake ourselves.Then the owner was nasty rude and short. She wanted to yell and get upset as if she didn't make a mistake. She doesn't want to issue a refund.The disrespect and the disappointment and unprofessional demeanor of this fakery was like an episode of Punk'd. Save ur money go to Weis.
