One hour to make 4 rolls of which 30 mins waiting for them at the restaurant when the quoted time was 25 min is unacceptable. In addition, later orders were ready before mine and they were larger. Never again. I recommend against ordering takeout from here.

We have been to both the Mt Airy and Eldersburg locations many times already & here is my overall experience of the restaurant:Service- fantasticAtmosphere- clean , but the Mt Airy location lighting can be too dim at times.Food- sashimi is very fresh; sushi is tasty; but…. Some of the appetizers sauce can be a bit funky ? especially like to point out, the baked eggplant and some of the dishes with Sriracha they don’t taste too good. Highly suggest to refine it.Overall, it’s recommended by @winedinenvacay .

Im summary. More expensive than average for quality food yet maybe it has off days?Service was quick and we had a 8 top seated and served drinks fast.The menu is expansive and there was plenty to help the little ones find something to try.Miso and salad was served with several entrees and was acceptable. I had a bento box and shared with my girlfriend who had a sashimi nigiri plate. Another guest had a noodle bowl that blew everyone away with presentation and taste.The impression I had on our visit was the B team in the kitchen. My tempura was not adhered or crispy. Some of the tempura vegis were prepared well while others were undercooked. The california roll included with my dish was average. The sashimi was decent and assorted.So to sum up. Was the service good? Yes it was. Was the food good? Some things were great at the table, the tempura was just bland and had no crunch while the sushi was distinctly average.I'm going back to this location soon to try the sushi again and will update the review. I'm hoping it was just a bad night and my expectations for this restaurant were not overvalued when I saw the menu prices. It did seem though that for 10-20% less you can go to other restaurants and get comparable or better food.

Went on Sunday for lunch. No wait for seats. Got a combo hibachi scallop dinner. Comes with soup and salad. Was very good and filling. Silverware was provided when requested.
It's very good sushi! Especially for a small town sushi restaurant! The staff has taken care of me for years and has never been anything less than perfectly pleasant. Friendly, cozy place to eat in and they do take out very well.

Very good food, nice atmosphere and great service. "Lisa" waited on my and she was as warm and friendly as she was prompt in the service she provided. By the end of my meal I was practically ready to marry her. The sushi is well above average in freshness and the appetizers I had, the mushroom soup and the gyoza were equally delicious.
