Delicious food, great menu, friendly service! Eager to return. Could only be better by adding more vegetarian/vegan options to menu. Seemed like most if not all of the vegetarian options had a lotttt of cheese.

Waited on hold over 5 minutes to place a carryout order, 30 minutes later I received my Lobster ravioli. I was very excited for the meal. Unfortunately the Lobster ravioli ended up tasting like cat food ravioli. But luckily it came with 5 nice size shrimp which were edible. At the end of the day what's cat food ravioli without jumbo shrimp? Think I'll keep driving next time!

I haven't been to Laurienzo's in about 2 years until today - I found myself near Mt. Airy and wanted some of the thin and crispy wood fired pizza I remembered from them. What a complete disappointment this pizza was. It bore almost no resemblance to the amazing pizza I remembered Laurienzo's having, and it appears to be specifically two things that are the problem:1) The pizziaolo's must have little to no experience making pizzas or using a wood burning oven. This pizza looked and tasted like it was made by a 19 year old who couldn't care less about his job. The cheese was about 3x the amount the pizza needed or could even handle (the cheese on each slice slid off in a huge overstuffed glob leaving me with effectively a tomato pie and pound of mozzarella in the box), and the pizza was well done on one half and barely cooked on the other (a sign of inexperience with the oven and possibly not even rotating the pies at all).2) It seems that their purveyor of cheese (and possibly tomato sauce) has changed since I was there last. If indeed they are using different cheese now, it's for the worse. The mozzarella tasted as if it was kraft mozzarella preshredded in a bag.Overall, a complete drop in standards and quality which is extremely unfortunate. This place went from a pizza spot I'd drive out of my way for if I was in the area, to a place I will almost certainly never return to again. Laurienzo's needs to focus on training the pizza making team on how to properly dress and cook a pie, and maybe do some additional R&D on sourcing better ingredients.I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because the front of house staff has always been great, and the atmosphere of the place is pretty nice. I really hope this restaurant can turn the pizza quality around and that the pizza making team doesn't drive the business downward and turn off additional customers like myself.

This place is real nice. Only had the pizza and it wasn't as good as expected. Pizza crust dusted with cornmeal not good and sauce or spaghetti sauce. Need a better pizza recipe for that beautiful restaurant.

*Pizza is fantastic 9/10The crushed peppers they have are awesome if you like spicy) you can also buy the crushed peppers to go!* Wings 12/10 are by FAR the best I’ve ever had (they make them in the brick oven)*My wife loved the chicken entree with the 13lbs of mashed potatoes that came with it lol*Jalepeno creamed corn 8/10*Steamed Shrimp were big and good as well 8/10All this food above was just about $100 in my opinion reasonable.!Give this place a shot you won’t regret it!

With the higher end appeal i expected better service. Food was overpriced for what it was, the atmosphere was nice, but service was lacking. Waters did not get refilled, asked for a spoon that never arrived. Wait staff was no knowledgeable about menu items. This could be a fantastic place with a few tweeks.

Let me start by saying this is my favorite pizza in the area. But it is inconsistent with the pie being well done or normal bake. I never change my order on how to cook them. Picked up a cheese and pepperoni pie and I'm just not sure how you send out the cheese pizza when you have them both side by side. The cheese in my opinion is well well done with black crust and the pepperoni one was cooked to perfection. If it came out like that I think the cheese pie should of just been remade and just explained to the customer. I'd happily wait for it to be cooked correctly then get home and be disappointed. Still love the pizza when normal baked.

Laurienzo Brick Oven Cafe in Mt. Airy is a Fine Dining Hidden Gem, Hands down the best pizza in the area. Not to mention their mouth watering Entrees.

We've been coming here since they first opened & it's always been our go-to...so let's cut to the chase...we miss their amazing pizza: in the past few months we've had pizza with way to much sauce, hardly any of the costly toppings and dough that seems not cooked completely OR way overcooked. ( My husband got carry out two months ago and the crust was burnt) The sangria is definitely not the same...and hardly any fruit. Now let's talk about the two staff members that passed our table three to four times chit chatting amongst themselves, ignoring the fact that our empty plates were piled on our table. These two were to busy petting dogs & talking. We decided to move our dirty dishes to an empty table. Sorry guys, but we don't know if we'll be back. Your food is to pricey to be this hit or miss. You used to be a class act.

Food seems overpriced, you'll get a ok food and nice salads. A cup of crab soup was $22! They were also out of salmon when we went for lunch, So we all had to alter our orders. it's very nice inside but seems overpriced, I ended up with the corn chowder which was tasteless and I think $8-9...

Service and atmosphere were unremarkable (not bad, just standard), but the food is extremely overpriced considering its quality. We got garlic bread, 2 cans of soda (at an unconscionable $3 per can!), a margherita pizza, and the lobster ravioli, which totaled just under $100 after tip. For that price I expected much better-tasting food; the only thing that really stood out was the garlic bread, and even that did not feel worth the $13 we paid for it. To be fair, the pizzas are fairly large, but a lot of mediocrity just means the leftovers get thrown away since you'll never be excited to eat them. Overall not worth the drive - if you're willing to drive a little farther into Carroll or Frederick County, you can have better pizza for almost half the price.
