We stopped by here for some fresh local seafood. This place never disappoints me. We got hush puppies, crabs ,shrimp, and king crab legs. The ultimate feast is expensive but will fill you up. The crabs were well seasoned and tasted fantastic. The king crab legs were well seasoned and very easy to shell. The shrimp were the same and tasted good. The waitress was very attentive and keep the drinks and butter containers filled. We all left here fat and happy. 9 out of 10 starts

It's a nice place with a beautiful view. Old school and I like that. But adding a charge to use debit card is off-putting and the use of the card machine at the table while the waitress stands there waiting while you are calculating tip is uncomfortable.I am old restaurant worker and she would have had more if management was not dictating amount!Food good but expensive. The jumbo crab cake was not jumbo at all

They could use more staff to bus the tables. The sign said seat yourself, bit all the tables were dirty. The crabs were good but lacked flavor. The hush puppies and steamed shrimp were great! I didn't care for the shriveled steamed, flavorless, oysters.

We got the all you can eat, service was good, the food and refills came quickly, atmosphere is very laid back, you don't need to dress up. Recommended for a laid back evening.

Food was good..don't go for atmosphere or fast service. Pack your patience and wait on your food.Update3/10/2024- food still average. Fried shrimp was very good. Green beans, soup, and potatoes just average...packaged..... green beans definitely from the can with no flavor. Seafood cooked well.

If your gonna tell your customers your not giving them a full shot in your drink after you ordered 3 already and make it sound like your doing me a favor by telling my girlfriend you put a full shot in this one and we don't serve full shot drinks because we are a restaurant and not trying to get customers drunk. Capt John's for that price for a drink and not telling customers your doing this tells me to others your ripping people off for how long? Service was terrible and she pointed at 20 percent and said this is OK right. Training and firing is what this place needs badly!!!!!!!!

On the water, lump crab and Texas barbecue at same place. I can't believe I wrote so little given how many times I have been here. It is authentic, old time goodness. Plenty of seats along the windows and the lump crab sandwich couldn't be better. They are open year round!Parking: Plenty of parking, never a problemKid-friendliness: They accommodate large groups by moving the tables together and it makes it was it easy for family gatherings. There are some kids games too!Wheelchair accessibility: super wide, low angle ramp to the front door. It is extremely thoughtful and considerate - compassionate.

The crabs here were delicious! Wish I had pictures but we took the leftover crab home and made some delicious crab cakes! Can’t forget that. Loved how this place was tucked away and how quaint and quiet Cobb Island is. Definitely a little drive but it was worth it especially if you’re just out and about.
