Went in today to have some breakfast and ordered the Tapsilog (tapa/garlic fried rice/egg), I also got a Turon (plantain/jackfruit wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried with brown sugar) with Ginger tea. The food came out at a reasonable time. The tapa is cooked the way I like it, on the dry side. It wasn't too salty or sweet and the seasoned vinegar gave it an extra layer of flavor. The garlic fried rice wasn't too oily. The turon has this amazing crunch even if it was room temp! Filo cafe also has other sweets that they have for sale and other specials. I will have to come back to try the other items on the menu.

The restaurant is tucked away in Rockville, but worth the visit of you enjoy Filipino food. Forgive me for not having all the menu items specified. The dishes we ordered were very good but the lechon is not prepared to my preference (crispy). I didn't ask for it to be cooked that way so this isn't a complaint. The vegetable and pork lumpia are excellent. They were cooked perfectly. The shell was crispy but not overly flaky and the filling was tasty. The pancit was also delicious.

Dear Diary - The food is delicious! First time being there. They were welcoming and helpful in their recommendations. Will definitely visit again and try different items that they offer on the menu. I think they have specials that are not on the main menu so it might be nice as it may offer rotating options if you had already tried everything on the board.

I ordered Dinuguan, tocilog, and lechon kawali. The tocilog doesn’t look and taste like tocino, I taste it like binagoong. The dinuguan is ok as well as the lechon kawali. It’s not cook to order. It’s already cooked and I believe they just reheated it. Cause the tocino doesn’t look like fried from the pan but reheated. The taho is not hot. The taho itself doesn’t look like taho it’s brownish supposed to white colored taho. The arnibal and the sago are good. The lechon kawali is also not hot but reheated although the pork skin was crunchy. I recommend ordering the dinuguan. The carioka and turon are good. I recommend buying those. It just that it’s not hot. When I went home I reheated the turon from toaster for 10minutes now it’s great!

Love their food! My partner love everything about this restaurant! This type of restaurant is the one I keep looking for, so that my partner would love more having filipino food in our plates! He had his first sip of ginger tea and he absolutely love it! The 45 minutes drive from Prince George’s county is so worth it! By the way we had the kamayan platter with shanghai, bihon, tapa, lechon kawali and garlic bread!Lechon kawali is to die for! Garlic rice is so tasty! Bihon was sumptous! Love love loveeeeeee their vinegar sauce!

This was my first time ever trying Filipino food in general and I heard great reviews for Filo Cafe so i decided to give it a try! We were greeted politely by the cashier and she kindly explained what options they have available, usually for the combos they pair with rice; I ordered the sweet and sour pampano combo with garlic rice. It was cooked perfectly and paired well with the sweet and sour sauce. I usually like the tail of the fish, however they brought the head instead & it was equally delicious, the steam was still coming out as I was tearing it apart. I love the aesthetic of the cafe, they have a grass wall with LED lights of their cafe restaurant name & a TV playing korean shows I believe. They also gave us a dessert called Turon to make up for the mistakingly serving the fish head instead of the tail & I loved it! It balanced just right, I must come back to try the ube desserts & halo halo :)

Authentic Filipino food! Low-ish prices and you won't be totally stuffed, but you will definitely be satisfied. The staff was really accommodating and there were lots of places to sit plus wi-fi. Would highly recommend! Pair this with an afternoon of thrift shopping at the Goodwill.

My go to Filipino spot! Very clean and fun atmosphere. The staff is amazing, extremely polite. The wait was not long at all. The food came out hot, fresh and was super delicious. I love the variety of food available and the specials they come out with from time to time. Their deserts are to die for! My favorites are the Kamayan with Tapa, Turon, Carioca, Taho and Halo Halo! The lechon is on point, tender yet crispy. I promise, your taste buds will not be disappointed ?

Their fried chicken, which is not on the standard, or even daily, menu, is awesome. No batter, just crispy skin. My kids love the boba tea, too.
