I'm very much up in a tizzy about this place. My wife and I have came here now, five times. The food, service and employees have always been great the previous four times. But, this fifth visit we came with our 2 year old and 3 month old, asked for two High chairs and an apple juice for the 2 year old, that's it. We usually bring french fries from an outside restaurant to feed our 2 year old.We were charged a 4 person 15% Service fee for My wife, 2 year old, 3 month and I first time this place has ever done this.Sure, thems the rules and my kids count as people. But your rules suck if you're pulling a technicality on a 2 person lunch with 2 children who weren't directly given service of any kind besides bringing us 2 high chairs and an 8oz cup of apple juice. I always tip via card or cash as well.I loved this place but I'm taking my ball home and finding another sushi joint to spend my money at that won't hit me with a slimy underhand service fee like that.

Called for carry out at 8:10pm they said they no longer taking carry out orders even though it says online 8:30. They close at 9pm but stop seating at 8:20pm.

I love the food but I don’t always have time to dine in so I typically call to pick up my order. I have done it plenty of times in the last year or so, but my experience tonight has been the worst. My sister picked up my order this time and they completely got it wrong. I had to come back to return my order and wait again for my correct order. This is the only establishment I’ve been to that asked for their food back after leaving the restaurant. The corrected food that I received does not look new. Sure the meat is newly cooked but the “new” rice and noodles I got are very soggy. Do they reserve it? Should I start to expect my orders to be reheated and reserved from previous orders? They casually blamed it on the miscommunication with the “Hispanic cooks in the back who don’t speak English”. They even blamed the customer for not checking, but my sister checked the receipt before leaving. Where is the accountability?

Ex employee, don't come here. The service won't be great because everyone is unhappy working here. The staff are all over worked and treated like shit by owner and main manager. Owner is awful and the main manager is the worst. They are rude to staff and customers. If you order take out, they put their hands in the food if your order is wrong to pick out pieces. Meat sits on floor on crates. Yum yum sauce is in a big tub on the floor. Place smells gross in the back most of the time. We have dumb rules no outside cakes for parties, can't seat incomplete parties, etc. they DONT TAKE RESERVATIONS no matter your party size. they are in accommodating to large parties being sat next to eachother. There's more to tell but they took down my last post.

The food would've been good had they brought out what I ordered. They actually forgot me and my order. About SIX, customers came in after me and sat at the bar and the surrounding tables, ordered and got their food while I was still sitting there 38 minutes later, and still no food. My frozen drink turned into liquid syrup. By the time they got my food to me AFTER, I had to remind them about my order. I was pissed and ready to go. It's definitely a NO for me! Never again

On 02/16/2024, I was taken to this location by my girlfriend for my 44th birthday as we enjoyed ourselves the last time. Since it was first time going I wanted to return again for my birthday since I enjoyed it so much. However when we got there it was PACKED to the brim and there was a 45+min wait to be seated, so we opted for take out instead. We placed our order with the hostess and she was kind enough to repeat it back to me to ensure that it was correct. We ordered the:Filet mignon and scallops with extra filet (medium rare)2 Kobe steak makiA shogun rollA spicy dynamite rollBut, when we received our food, it wasn't what we ordered. Everything was correct, but there was shrimp also in the meal and we're both allergic. So, needless to say, we had to skip dinner. *The restaurant is 40+ mins away, so driving back and making it before they close wasn't an option.* So we called and we're told to bring in the meals and they'll be made correct and fresh. So, the next day (02/17/2024) we made the almost hour drive back to the location for our replacement. We explained the situation to the opening crew as none of them were on shift the night before. The examined the other order and got started on our replacement. With a smile it was bagged we were on our way for a return drive of an hour back home to finally enjoy our meal.Or so we thought....When we got home and opened our containers only to find the filet mignon that we paid extra for was NOT what we were given. Anyone who has been to Kobe knows there steak and there's the filet mignon for an upcharge. Again, what we paid for is NOT what we were given. So, I called AGAIN to express my dismay and honest displeasure at the fact that my birthday dinner was made erroneously, only to be told that "I watched them cut it and it's filet, it's just cut small". I tried to explain to him (the manager on duty) that what's in my container isn't what was paid for. I was then told to bring the meal A SECOND TIME to have things made right. ?‍? So, I was requested to drive back an hour AGAIN, to wait for her ANOTHER order, then drive an hour back AGAIN for ...??‍♂️. There was no compromise, no we will comp a meal, take my name for a future visit....nothing. Needless to say I will not be returning to not only location but more than likely the chain as a whole as this is the closest location to me. As much as I enjoyed my first visit, this absolutely ruined my birthday experience and soured by view of the restaurant in whole. I will not be returning.

Second time going to Kobe and food was amazing just like my first time. There is always an abundant amount of food for you to be able to take leftovers. Our waiter was Jared and he was good. Our chef was Lee. All was well until a family of 3 came in and their energy was off. Towards the end of the dinner, my friends and I realized that the family skipped out on their bill!!! Like who does that?? I ended up giving him an extra $5 because he was visibly upset and I felt bad. On the way out at the front desk, Jared was talking to the manager (verified on name tag) with his head down and disappointed on recent events. What I didn't like was how the manager was speaking with him like it was his fault they walked out on the bill, saying he should have done this or that. I politely said, it wasn't his fault and not to be hard on him. The manager didn't want to hear what I had to say and dismissed me "Ok ok thank you bye". My friends and I spent well over $200 (party of 7), my issue is how you are treating your staff for something out of their control. I am a business owner and people have skipped out after being serviced. In no way, do I blame the service provider like he was with Jared. Maybe Kobe needs to consider putting credit cards on file FIRST before they sit down! So the long review is to let people know how this specific manager was dealing with his employee which was totally unacceptable!!!

In celebration of my friend’s birthday, we decided to stop in just after lunch. Around 2:30- they weren’t too busy.. We’d always heard nice things about Kobe’s but we’d also heard that they were one of the more expensive Japanese hibachi steakhouse experiences.. let’s just say, they definitely didn’t disappoint ?$$. However in many of the other areas, they def did. This was our Most Expensive overall experience at any Japanese Steakhouse in and outside the area…while also being the one we enjoyed the Least. On a more positive note, I can say the servers/chef/staff were kind, timely, and friendly. The establishment was also very big, nice size for parties etc, nice decor.. it did however smell old, kinda smusty dusty like.. and many of the things I picked up or touched were all sticky or grimy feeling. Like the salt/pepper shakers and the sugar containers. My friend ordered the salmon, I ordered the salmon and had to add the scallops for an additional $14, since the salmon was the ONLY dish on their extensive menu that didn’t come with ANY combo option.. they explained this to me by saying the salmon was the most expensive dish on their menu, however that literally wasn’t true lol. Just the salmon dish was listed at approx $28..The fillet mignon, scallops, and a separate dish were all approx $31+ more expensive than the salmon by itself and they also ALL had corresponding combo options with scallops(& other dishes), that were ok priced(under $45/p) however they were unwilling to do so for the salmon. I felt that was an unfortunate rip off, meaning the only way to make it a combo was to add it as a separate dish..I can say that the our chef cooked said salmon wonderfully and it was a nice thick piece, however my side of $20 scallops, about 6 of them (yes I just increased the price ??) were mega overcooked and thus tasted like rubber. But flavorful rubber, likewise our noodles were also overcooked yet flavorful . They were incredibly mushy. Overall. I could have likely done without the entire experience, and opted for Sake’. But hey we tried it. So it’s been added to the list. The more you know ???‍♀️

Had a great time at Kobe's White Marsh. Customer service was great and our server did an amazing job. I ordered the shrimp & chicken combo and it was delicious. You get a lot of food for the price. I highly recommend this location.
