Good food. Very attentive & friendly staff! Lots of windows & tv'Is. I was sad when they dropped the hummus from the menu. Limited options for folks who can't eat dairy (cheese) or ultra processed foods like beyond burgers. Please bring back the hummus or remove from the menu. A few mezza plates would be nice too. ?

The Bad Monkey is a fun atmosphere, but the effort does not go into the food. I do not usually give a bad review, unless I have a chance to try the place again. However, I felt visitors should know breakfast is not worth the cost. I wish someone had cautioned me. I had Sunnyside of the Bay, which was a good crabcake. However, that can be found most places on the coast. It was supposed to be over chorizo hash with peppers and onion. I had trouble finding the peppers or onions in the bed of cold, cardboard homefries. The chorizo was almost as difficult to find and was extremely overcooked, with no flavor. You order chorizo for flavor. It seemed that the hash was from past days, reheated, and they forgot the veges. The egg over easy was cooked correctly. The monkey bread, which they are supposed to be known for, also seemed to be from past days. It did not taste freshly baked. I highly recommend not wasting your money here for breakfast.
Great food. Great location. Great atmosphere. Great staff onsite. Only took off a star because their phone system does not work. I was trying to place an order ahead and online says it’s unavailable and I couldn’t call anyone. It was a bit disappointing and inconvenient.
