I never write reviews, but I had to for this restaurant. The food was so so. Very expensive for what you get. We have been to this restaurant before a few years ago and it was great, but I think it has changed hands. BEWARE I told the waitress I was going to leave a cash tip, so I was not leaving a tip on the handheld register that they use to check you out at the table. The waitress proceeded to give herself a 20% tip anyway. I asked for a receipt and the way it prints out it shows the total of the food to the right then below 0.00 amount due. BUT on the left, it shows credit to where she added her own tip! It fools you. I didn't realize this until I checked my bank account then I studied the receipt and there it was 13.45 added to her tip, after I had left her a 20 on the table! Trying to be nice and leave a nice tip! I got burned! Very dishonest! Then I tried to call just to let them know about the situation and their phone doesn't work! What a mess! I will NEVER go back!

It's totally disgusting, especially for an establishment that is charging $23.50 for enchiladas and $26 for a burrito.We ate lunch (2 enchilada plates and jalapeño poppers for appetizer and only had ice water, and our bill with tax and tip was $76. THEY ARE ALSO ADDING 3.5% IF YOU PAY BY CREDIT CARD!We have been eating at the boardwalk location for YEARS, and last year we ran into the same issues there as well. Guido's Burritos used to be our favorite place to visit at the boardwalk. Now we will never return to either location.

First time trying out this restaurant. Food was ok but some of the rice was not cooked & still crunchy under my teeth. It is too expensive for a Mexican restaurant so not worth it. The service was good and quick. However, I didnt like the fact that the server didnt print out my bill & just showed it to me on the device making me rush then hit next for the tip which was set on 25%! I would’ve been screwed if I didnt pay attention. Leave it at 15% and if people want they’ll tip more! That was the first & last time we went to this place and would not recommend it.

We saw this place advertised all over saying best Mexican food. The food was subpar at best and it was way overpriced. Beware the cost for extras, including the beef on a taco salad or nachos. The place did look neat and had a good vibe. Not good for kids though. They played horrible music that was not filtered and I had a five year old with me. The staff was friendly enough, but not attentive. And they have a guy take your picture and try to scam you for a bunch of money. Unprofessional. Not impressed.
The portion is large, but it was clearly not a burrito, which stole away.

We were expecting a great meal. It was mediocre Mexican at best. The guac was good, but when it came to the meals, they were way over priced for what they are. There was no draft beer, only bottles. The kids meals were adult portion size. The menu had a margarita sampler on it - 4 for $28 - they don't clarify it's not 4 of their special ones, just 4 variations of the regular type.

Prices are incredibly expensive. Waiter/waitress tip is automatically included in your bill which is probably why our service was so bad. While we were there the waitress never asked if we needed refills and our extra plates for chips were dirty. Food was just alright. Would not recommend going here. There are much better places to visit in OC.

Food is horrible. But this is not a reflection on the waiters and waitresses.Came with a family of 9. Found hair in one of the kids food bowls.Food has no flavor, the birria tacos had 50% meat and 50% fat. The chicken quesadillas had no chicken when the chicken is an extra $6. This place was definitely not worth coming here. Says they have authenticc ingredients. But these ingredients are not the best at all. I'm sitting here at the restaurant as I'm writing this. I do not recommend eating here. Please save your money and go else where. Also, they say they have big portions that's why the price is high $20+ per plate. Definitely not worth it. Better going to burger king or buying food at the supermarket and make it your self. Please save your time and money.
