Good sushi and appetizers!Must try : Chip roll. The gyoza and the shumai are very good too.Recommend : Kevin Poole, it's rare to find a roll with lump crab meat. Bad gems (with banana) is must try.Enjoyed: costal roll and G money. Very good edamame. Can skip : tuna & avocsdo salad. A generous spread of tuna and avocados but the flavors just didn't come together for me.

OK…. Let me start by saying this was the busiest place I had seen in OC, so I assumed it was good.Bad News… I love sushi, like love love it. I have been to the cheapest sushi places to the most expensive places (like $1 a piece to omakase dinner for $400 a person). My expectations are just good food. I have never not finished a sashimi dinner. I ordered what they called the Sashimi Bounty (if they are using this as bounty, lord help those they are paying) and a side of sashimi scallop.I knew when they put the plate in front of me it wasn’t going to be good, by the smell. I didn’t say anything, because I was trying to be nice to the person I was there with. But about halfway through the meal they realized I was basically forcing myself to stomach this. I had the scallop, which is normally smooth and buttery, this scallop just tasted off. On top of the other fish that was chewy and just was totally fishy. He then laughed and said taste this and gave me a piece of his NY Strip. Not sure how a NY Strip can taste both boiled and microwaved with some nasty sauce on top of it, but it did. I chuckled and said, “OK, Yeah - we tried it. Let’s add this to our never again list.”The sad thing is although I love sushi I’m not overly picky. This was just really bad. Like the worst of the worst. Cheap Chinese buffet sushi is better. Seriously.I have no idea how they have a high rating. It has to either be the folks in this area have no taste (which could also be why every “specialty” roll they had was Maryland crab and nothing real sushi OR they have done some get a discount for a good review promo (I can’t stand restaurants that do this.)The only redeeming quality of this visit was the server was attentive and nice.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one! Located in ocean city, I got the Maryland friend rice and when I tell you my tastebuds were completely satisfied with the sweet and savory flavors all at one time!!!! You can’t go wrong with that dish. It has shrimp, real crabmeat and the surprise ingredient, PINEAPPLES!!! 10/10!!! Check them out when the reopen in February.. they take the month of January off..

Great place for sushi, whether you eat in or carry out. Always fresh. There is also a nice bar there next to the dining room if you care to have a drink.

I ordered Sushi Sashimi combo with my wife. Food was really delicious and enough for dinner. I also happened to leave my credit card at the table and left before I realized it. I called about it and they actually mailed my card back to me! Excellent service!

Happy 34th Anniversary to us! We shared the "Love Boat for Two" at $84.00. We also ordered the tempura vegetables, miso soup, salad and a few adult beverages. The salad had a soy ginger house made dressing unlike any I've ever tasted... beautifully light. We are pretty big eaters but we ended up with a take out container full. The waitress was a bit busy but still maintained her friendly personality without excuses. There were families with children, some very young in our dining area. It was nice to see the kids enjoying their sushi. There was also another side that looked like a bar but I wasn't too sure nor was I paying attention. Great place! Kudos to the sushi chefs.

OC Wasabi truly stands out. Even when we visited off-season, the restaurant was full. When restaurant is full with locals, it is a clear sign of its great food and service, as a favorite dining spot year-round. You can trust that you're in for an amazing experience.

Sushi at OC Wasabi was incredibly fresh, and it tasted like it had just been caught from the ocean. The quality and flavor were outstanding, making it a must-visit spot for sushi lovers. The service and atmosphere were equally delightful, creating a memorable dining experience. Don't miss out on this gem! ??❤️

The food was very good, and they were crowded. It was the off-season, which suggests that quite a few locals eat there. It's always a good sign! I definitely recommend it.Vegetarian options: They have a sushi platter that contains all vegetarian rolls.

We love Sushi and Japanese food in general. In our research OC Wasabi seemed highly rated and definitely a place to visit but in reality it was a big disappointment. The fish was fresh and our waitress was good but quite frankly other than the Sushi, everything was rather tasteless. Spicy Tuna wasn't spicy, fresh shrimp was stringy and even the ginger dressing on the salads was flat & tasteless. With tip, we spent $175 on a meal I would have been disappointed in if I had only spent half that amount.

I don’t know why this place is rated so high. The tuna was mushy and almost a grey color and tasted off. Spicy tuna had zero spice and shrimp tempura wasn’t great either. Biggest shame is the amount of money that was paid for food that wasn’t fresh.
