Have used Yelp for years and years and this is my first review despite many poor experiences at many establishments. I'm not one to leave reviews, just read them. This place deservedly gets one star. Asked for water, it tasted like they washed dishes with it. Even if they are on a well, provide your customers with bottled or filtered water. I'm suprised the water alone didn't make us sick. My wife ordered broiled flounder. At $22, she got a piece of the driest, fishiest, most bland tasting tiny/thin piece of flounder you could ever have. We were told it was delivered the day before. Maybe so, but it sat someplace else for a while before delivery. Such a shameful, tiny piece of fish for $22. I had the crabcake/shrimp special. $35.99 for a tasty but TINY crab cake and a 1/2 lb of ok shrimp. My meal was worth nowhere near $35.99. The sides for both of our dishes were cold/lukewarm at best. Service was fine, but your price to quality and quantity of food ratio is shameful. The table was wobbly, you sit in plastic lawn chairs inside the restaurant. Condiment bottles were dirty, sticky, and almost empty. I know things are expensive everywhere these days, it's the new norm. However, an establishment should still have some pride in the product they put out. I don't mind paying for good service and product, but damn people, you charge Ruth's Chris prices for less than diner quality food. Your many other reviews are very deceiving and they sure fooled us.

Don’t be fooled by the humble appearance! This place has outstanding fresh seafood. We had a fantastic lunch served by a fun and friendly waitress. I highly recommend the shrimp sliders and the raw oysters! Another plus is the dog-friendly patio with outdoor dining.

Had high hopes for a local place after Labor Day that we have been wanting to try for a while. Instead received a quote of their policy of not seating the 3 of us until our full party of 5 arrives… this place was 1/2 empty… not busy… zero reason to turn away business to quote your policy. Even offered to order appetizers and drinks while we we wait for the other two members to arrive, but instead they quoted policy again… ridiculous… left and went to Toast 1 mile down the street, they appreciated the business and sat us right away like a good restaurant would do on a slow day.

Disappointed! Food was mid shrimp was over cooked and mushy mash potatoes tasted sour. Sodas were flat and syrupy. Told our waitress she tried to fix the situation but an older lady in the back came out with an attitude telling us we were wrong and that she ate some of our food off the plate to taste it agreed the mash potatoes were gross, tried to give us a remake they were still sour. She argued with us again and was very rude and unprofessional! We went the other year and everything was good this year it was more expensive and quality wasn't as good. The lady that had an attitude and was extremely rude ruined the whole night for us don't recommend at all!

The restaurant exuded a relaxed and friendly vibe that made me instantly feel at ease.Now, let's talk about the highlight of the evening – the food. Shrimp Boat certainly knows how to serve up some mouthwatering seafood. The fresh shrimps were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection, leaving me craving for more. The salty huge oysters were a true delight, offering a briny burst of the ocean in every bite. It's safe to say that seafood lovers will find themselves in heaven at Shrimp Boat.But the seafood wasn't the only star of the show. The Bloody Mary cocktail at Shrimp Boat deserves special mention. It was a true masterpiece, with just the right balance of flavors and a perfect amount of spice. Sipping on this refreshing cocktail added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.On top of the delicious fare, the service at Shrimp Boat was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to answer any questions and provided top-notch recommendations.
The perfect stop for fresh local seafood to eat in at their casual outdoor setting or to bring home or to camp to cook yourself. It was so good, we immediately came back the next day to pickup more seafood to cook while camping at Assateague.

First time here and we love it! Our friends were here a week before and raved about it. I got the ahi tuna with ghost pepper sauce with Mac and cheese....hubby got the shrimp basket...... were very pleased with our choices. I'm gonna tell you I eat a lot of Mac and cheese.....and I LOVE Mac and cheese....by far without a doubt...the BEST MAC AND CHEESE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! we look forward to coming back. Place was clean, bathroom was clean, beer was cold and food fast! Thanks to our servers....we appreciate you!!!we will return

Such a cool experience! We came by for the discounted crab lunch special (I believe we opted for the slightly larger crabs at $2.75 a piece) and we loved the experience! No AC, so it was going to be hot in there as the day went on but we went pretty early right when they opened. It filled up quickly! It's a great place to go with family to take your time and pick some crabs. Deliciously seasoned and tasty! I saw someone here mention that the water tasted funny here, and we noticed that as well. I suggest getting a beer or soda to wash down your lunch instead :)

The Shrimp Boat is a great spot! My family and I stopped in for lunch after a morning of hiking around Assateague Island. At first glance, it doesn't look like much...which was a sign it was going to be good! We received free shrimp upon being seated, and to the naysayers out there complaining the shrimp are served cold, well that's how you get peel & eat shrimp, as well as shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were delicious! My wife and kids had never had crabs before, so first thing we did was order a dozen for us to share. Our server, man I wish I remembered her name, noticed some puzzled looks as to how to best crack a crab, so she jumped right in and gave us a crash course. We didn't leave a bite behind after that lesson. The rest of the food we ordered was delicious, and my girls had a couple specialty kids drinks that made them feel special. Hands down a great experience, can't wait to visit next summer!
Fun place! Great service and great shrimp and pither food. Worth coming inland from the beach a bit.
