Saw they have Tuesday taco and wanted to give it a try. Sat at the bar and we already felt unwelcomed from the bartender. Ordered a Paloma and a margarita. They were not the best, but we decided not to judged after that. We noticed that people were get chips and salsa, but not us. So we asked for it and also a side of guac. We came to the conclusion that we didn’t feel welcomed and asked for the check. This was the most expensive appetizer we ever had, $45 for 2 drinks and chips with salsa and guac.

The food was really great. We tried this on a whim and weren't disappointed. Their fried ice cream was one of the best I've had. And the chips and salsa is so good. Be warned, you only get one free set. They charge for refills. The prices are a bit more, but it's OC.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: There were kid menus and it was family friendly.

We hadn't been there for several years and were greatly disappointed! The service was poor at best as the wait person was less than cordial and apparently new to the job. The food was poor, our refried beans were served on the side in a plastic cup. Next time in OC we will try a different Mexican restaurant!

I liked that I got fresh salsa with the chips.The rest of the food was dry, the beans,the rice wasn't even hot.
20 dollar fish stick Tacos!!! Get them while they last!! Didn't get acknowledgement from a server till 15 minutes of waiting. Then a he walked up and said "Any drinks" which you could barely hear, being he appeared to be whispering it to us. Food horrible, service horrible!

We are frequent visitors when in OC which is quite regularly. Food is amazing. Drinks are outstanding. GET THE RASPBERRY MARGARITA. And the service is always phenomenal. See y'all soon!

Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat one Saturday night. Got seated right away, staff was friendly, atmosphere was lively, plenty of drink options. They have a large variety of margaritas. I definitely recommend trying one! So good! The food was great and serving size was plenty large. We had to take some home with us. Great place to gather with family and friends or just a date night. We'll definitely come back when in OC.
Had lunch here in September 2023. I ordered the chimichanga meal. The chimichanga was huge. It looked more like an over stuffed burrito. It was stuffed to the gills with chicken and smothered in queso. My meal came with a side of beans and rice. Everything was well cooked, well seasoned, and delicious. The portions were generous and the waitress kept my drink full. It was a very pleasant experience. I'd definitely recommend the Mockingbird to anyone in OC looking for some really good Mexican food.

I'm sorry but I tried this place twice and food was just awful both times. The last time bought shrimp tacos (NOT on special), an one taco has two small pieces of shrimp and the other had ONE small piece of shrimp. I mean jeez I'm not asking for much but that was cheap as @#$%. The table bought margaritas that tasted just like mixers and lime. I expected so much More from this place when I was ordering is supposedly there specialties . Waitress was ok but you really had to wave her down.
