Service wasn't the best but I feel like they were short staffed. There was a help wanted sign on the door. It took a hostess a few minutes to come out. My food was decent. Parking was easy as there is parking in front and on the side and rear of the restaurant. Outdoor seating which is really cute with string lights hanging above and candle lit tables at night. Wasn't very loud at all. I ate inside and it wasn't really crowded at all. A friend a calamari. It was actually really good and served with marinara sauce. I forgot to take a picture of it. Table service was alright but again I really think it was attributed to staffing because everything took so long but overall not bad and I will give them a try again when weather is warm.

We made a reservation for dinner through Tripadvisor, which directed us to OpenTable. When we arrived the restaurant was closed! Why weren't we warned?

My daughter has tutoring next door so I stopped I. To the Artful Gourmet to kill a hour. I sat on the bar area and it was not very large. About ten seats at the bar and 5 tall tables. They have three televisions that had different sporting events on. I walked through the dinning area to use the restroom and it looked to be a little larger over there. There looks to be a probate area that you can reserve or rent out behind the bar seating area as well. I was lucky enough for o stop in during their daily happy hour that runs from 4-7 during week days. All drafts were half price and as well as most wines. I just got a Stella and ordered a appetizer of the Gorgonzola Shrimp. Service at the bar was quick. Probably helped that there was only a few other people there when I went. The shrimp were well prepared and quite flavorful. The Gorgonzola wine sauce was not to creamy or overwhelming. It can with a toasted ciabatta roll perfect for dipping into the left over sauce. I didn't have long to stay and enjoy it but I definitely will be back soon. I am interested in trying some other menu items and you can't been the happy hour prices for their drafts beer.

Nice place to have a fun or quiet date or girls night out. Food was good. But my steak was a little tough and the gave me a butter knife to cut my steak. I will come back and give it a second try.

My meal was pretty underwhelming, especially for the price. One small crab cake, green beans, and mashed potatoes was $27. The crab cake tasted good enough, but was nothing special. I'd love to have had a nice remoulade with it but it came with cocktail sauce (that's weird to me, but that might be normal in Maryland, I honestly don't know). The mashed potatoes were pretty good but they needed salt. The green beans were cooked to death, in my opinion. They were too soft and some of them were a bit brown and sad looking. Lastly, they brought me and everyone else in the restaurant waters in a plastic to go cup. That's really wasteful and contributes to plastic pollution for no reason.I'll be sure to choose another restaurant next time I'm in town.

The last timevI got grilled salmon the portion was small, not justified by the cost. This time the special stuffed salmon was much better. The staff should fully explain the specials and any menu item when answering the phone. Not just say the special is salmon. Etc. Go further and tell what else comes with it.

Rather than offer numerous examples about the poorly trained and inexperienced wait staff, offer details on why the dining area feels more like a cheap strip mall restaurant than anything artful, or explain deficiencies about the somewhat above-average entrees that were not gourmet, I will simply say that unless you are looking for an average experience that does not offer special ambience or value, I would NOT go here. We had a MUCH better experience earlier in the day at a regional Diner that offered better value, was at least as clean and MUCH better service. There was too much wrong to say it was an off night. Next time we are in the area we will dine elsewhere.
This the HunzyBs first time at Artful Gourmet Bistro. I was with a friend and she mentioned this place as an option and I was drawn by the name. I checked out the social media with skepticism but walked in and sat at a beautifully designed sunflower table. The Host was very nice and attentive. Now the food was bomb. The Gorgonzola Shrimp and Crab Wontons were so good and flavorful. The Walters Flatbread was perfect... and I like my food hot when I get it and was not disappointed. My friend got the Nouveau Salad and she wanted the Apple cider Vinaigrette and hasn't said a thing to me since she started eating lol . I will definitely be coming back.

We arrived at 5 pm before the dinner crowd. Asked if we could sit outside. Someone who appeared to be a manager said no to the hostess - then the next 3-5 guests were seated outside within minutes. Staff generally very nice but that experience left a bad taste. Sandwich was fine but I doubt we will return.

Came in with a group of 7, 3 of whom it was their birthday. That wasn't even acknowledged (even though I had said it on the phone). Waiter kept disappearing, he left a large pile of dirty plates and silverware for the entire dinner while we needed the table space. Ordered 2 martini and they were not the same size. I had the mussels, which were over cooked and some cold, and the salad with the seared tuna, which wasn't fresh at all. It's like it had been seared sometime last week. I was hoping this could be our go to restaurant for special occasions, but it's doubtful I'll even eat here again.
