My most recent experience was not a good one. The tuna fish sandwich was super watery. I don't see what makes it famous. It almost taste like chunk light tuna and not albacore. The sandwich definitely is not worth the money and I don't think I will return.

SEWFABULOUS SEWING!
I went to get my mother her favorite meal Meatloaf and decided to get the Cloak and Dagger sandwich. I was pretty upset that this sandwich was not made correctly. I paid 16.00 each for 2 sandwiches. It did have a lot of meat but a little bit of coleslaw but nothing else. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

I’ve been craving chicken salad so I called around to see who had it. I tried this place and it was decent (a little sweet but not much other seasoning it seemed)…I’ll just doctor it up though. Bros Larry that helped me was sooo nice! He made the experience worth it. HOWEVER, what would’ve made the trip a 5⭐️is if we only focused on my yummy “Ice box cookies” that I finally found. I’ve been looking for these cookies for about 20 years since I was in middle school and would buy them from next door at Eddie’s at Roland Park. #MADEMYWHOLEDAY

Went once and returned the following week. Tried both breakfast and lunch. Enjoyed the pancakes and french toast. My sweetie enjoyed a cheese steak sub with fries. The order setup will take some getting use to. Friendly staff. Looking forward to returning to try something else.
charged me $1 for cheese which comes on the omelette in any other restaurant. total bill for a Western omelette soaked in grease $15.36....

Essen Room is right up the street and while it is a little more expensive, the food is better and the staff is much more respectful. My family had been coming here over 20 years, dining in and carry out regular deli orders on a weekly basis. Spent $60-80 per week here easily. New policy in place here where they refuse to take orders by phone unless you pay first, which we prefer to pay in the store- we do not give a credit card out on the phone- I've had my information stolen by store employees like this, in the past. Just lost a long term customer. This place has gone downhill over the years anyway and the staff can be VERY nasty, particularly one gentleman in deli who will literally just ignore you when you stand there and wait... go elsewhere...
