I left hungry and angry. Horrible kitchen but good attempts at customer service. No kale in the kale salad. Duck was overcooked, twice. No lump crab in the lump crab cakes. Expensive. Run.

I was there in early February celebrating a friend’s birthday, our server was professional and nice. This was my second time dining at this restaurant and I recommend it for Brunch and Lunch. I will have to try dinner. I’m not sure why it only has 3.8 stars and I’m VERY critical when it comes to surveys. I will return soon.

My wife and I had one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in many years. From beginning to end, including watching a beautiful sunset, the evening is a wonderful memory. Although we stayed at the hotel for a conference, you can plan to enjoy an evening at Old Hickory from anywhere in the DMV.

I eat at a lot of high-end steakhouses, but this place is really one of my favorites. The food is absolutely fantastic, and it's no surprise that almost every president of the United States has dined here. Just talk to Joe, the bartender. He has met them all!The steak is incredible as you would expect, but I would especially recommend the compound garlic butter. It's just on another level altogether. As for the sides, I would recommend the Mac and Cheese. As for veggies, I would recommend the Brussel Sprouts and the Asparagus. And for seafood lovers, the Maryland lump Crabcake is fantastic as well.More importantly, the people here are so delightful, and it's amazing that I feel like they are extended family. They remember me and what I like, even though I only come once a year! If you are nearby, I would strongly recommend at night or at the Old Hickory Steakhouse.I only come here once a year for a big convention at the Gaylord Hotel, so it's a rare one a year treat for me. Sadly, it has been under construction during the convention, and as such, I was unable to attend last year. All I can say is that I am happy to be back, and the renovation is incredible. If you have not been here in a while, you should see it.Vegetarian options: The veggies are excellent here, it's a steakhouse, but there are plenty of Seafood and Vegetable dishes to enjoy, and they are great. I especially like the Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts.

We arrived early and host/hostess was more than happy to seat us, service was exceptional as was the food, we enjoyed the experience totally, thank you Andrew for the wonderful service and hospitality, New York strip was excellent as was the crab cakes and seafood tower, sticky toffee pudding was packed for take home and was also very good, prices were as expected for a fine establishment, and I found to be reasonable Thank you to all, great team Will Noble

Sunday evening Date night - food, ambience, and service were wonderful. We had the small filet, crab cake, hasselback potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. Enjoyed everything except the Brussels sprouts. Prefer their old recipe, leave out the almonds and actually cook the Brussels sprouts in the bacon grease. Other than that enjoyed everything else including the cocktails.

Not worth the price. Dined here for dinner on a Friday evening and service was extremely slow. Food was okay but not worth the cost in my opinion. Also stopped by for breakfast on Sunday. Only offering was buffet or pre-set brunch menu. The staff was very unhelpful and I had to ask for a server to approach our table and then again for my check. Felt like we were more of a nuisance than a valued customer. Would not recommend

Lovely restaurant, great food and superb service. We highly recommended if you are near Gaylord International Hotel.

Disappointed. I was so excited to visit this steakhouse and I was left completely disappointed. The steaks were small and flavorless. Water was left empty. The staff forgot part of our order. The ambiance is nice, but not at the sacrifice of food and service. The one redeeming quality was the bread and butter, but the fact that the free items were the best part of the meal makes me sad.

Hi. So, we haven't been to Old Hickory since their reconstruct. It was mostly fabulous. Went for Valentines Day and for the most part, we were treated well. The Food was amazing. The wait staff helping our server were especially attentive. Unbelievable steaks and sides and appetizers and salads. I'll post pictures. Even though it was Valentine's night, the service over all pretty quick. And we got to see a proposal right next to us-she said yes. Made me teary-eyed as we are coming up on our 34th wedding anniversary next month. The only reason I didn't post a 5 star, is that we were all feeling pretty special, other tables around us too. And then, some kinda couple came into the restaurant within moments of us getting there. They sat right next to us, and very, very clearly they were the VIPs (maybe influencers), senior staff, the chef, and several other managers and staff came over and were checking on them, talking to them a lot, they got things like bread and service before everyone else. It was a lot right next to us. So, it for sure brought down our own experience a bit. And we ended up leaving a bit early.

So convenient to have a great steakhouse at the Gaylord. We were staying there for a conference. Service the best ive seen. Food excellent. The absolute only downfall..."The Steak Knives are DULL"!!! Replaced them during meal and still DULL. SHARPEN STEAK KNIVES PLEASE!!! We will return:)
