Is customer service a thing of the past? Corporate really needs to evaluate who they hire. This location is horribly managed, least secure , and has aging produce. The staff acts like it's too much to do their jobs. The store is always understaffed and a employee had a nerve to tell me they are going to perform a service that I willing to pay for. There are never any carts at the door and always have a person(s) loitering in front of it. PG's implementation of the bag policy has only made things worse. Check out lines are longer and people are frustrated. The grocery shopping experience shouldn't be like this. Bring back customer service.

It is generally a great place to shop. The staff are nice, the store is clean, and they are not overly overpriced. The product variety is great, and the rewards program is easy to use. I will say that I have had experiences in the past where some of food I bought was expired, but recently that has not happened to me.

I went to go grocery shopping mid-day. Parking lot was pretty open as people are usually working. Could not find any carts, so went inside looking for a basket since I only needed a few things. Could not find any baskets or available carts. I asked 2 different employees about carts and baskets. I was told by both employees that the only carts they have are what I see and they no longer had baskets. I took that as they didn't want my business so I went to Giant. How can you expect people to shop with nothing to put your groceries in? SMH, they may want to fix that.

No one ever answers the phone number on the pick-up sign and my App always seems to tell me I have already picked up my order or no one monitors the app check-in in the store. So you must find the number and call them directly every time. Have reported numerous times to the store and customer service line - sigh. Someone took down the last 3 spots which aren't needed really but they left the signs on the ground - looks junky.

I can't give it a 5-star because there are issues. Cleanliness could be better. I've purchased things in the past that were rancid. But, guess what?Cleanliness isn't terrible and most supermarkets are subpar in this area, unfortunately, today. Getting something rancid is not okay, but I've had great luck with employees and managers exchanging items and making me whole again.And that's why I'm going to give the place 4 stars. The folks who work at this store are LOVELY. From the people in the bakery to the ones behind the seafood counter to the stockers and cashiers and managers. EVERYONE tries their best and tries their best to help YOU.I shop at this Safeway often and have no problems suggesting you do as well.

Would give zero stars if I could. Literally the worst Safeway in MD -- they rarely have carts or baskets available so hopefully you only need a few items that you can carry and they never enforce excessive amounts of items at self checkout.

It serves its purpose. However, I wish they would bring back the Starbucks! I should have to drive to VA, Clinton and Penn Ave for Starbucks. Btw, I purposely ignored the location at Tanger Outlet for the rude ass interaction I received w/ an employee back in January.I find a lot of the veggies( green beans, broccoli, etc.,) isn't as fresh as they should be but they keep a lot food in stock.I do occasionally run into issues here, I purchased Cornish hens that was ringing up $0, which is not my error or issue and somehow the manager tried to find me two expensive ass hens that were $9.. ma'am I don't play that... It was several hens apparently marked at $0 so I held up the checkout line until I left w/ mine being $0. She thought she was slick w/ the "oh you are getting a good deal of 50% off" no ma'am that is not a deal. Charge me for what they sticker price is...

Always terrible service. A few pleasant employees. Super ghetto. Always understaffed. Poor management. Especially the tall lady pieces. Extremely Always unhelpful & Always having personal conversations....I observed the police chasing someone in here a short time ago. Shelves Always under stocked. Items never in the aisle they show they are supposed to be. Never anyone at customer service. Self checkout is always closed after normal business hours. Leaving 1 maybe 2 other lanes open. This one when picking up groceries for other by their request.I go to the Alexandria location for my personal shopping. They are 24hours. Always fully stocked. Always ample employees to assist.

Fedex Drop-off for packages is horrible. Dropped off on a monday evening, Tues. no pickup, Wed no pickup, called store they tried to blame it on Fedex. The tracking was changed to show package ready for recipient at Oxon Hill, the same place I dropped off. They have packages disorganized and placed in the wrong areas. I asked the person at the Cust. Service desk which shelf it would be placed on, he said it would go in the correct area, even though 1 minute earlier they could not locate someones pick-up package and were looking/re-arranging each box on the FedEx Outgoing shelves. MADE 4 PHONE CALLS TO GET IT RIGHT. What is wrong with this picture?
